Heritage Medical Associates

This practice is unprofessional, deceitful and rude. I went to see Dr Brothers in January. Paid my copay and called numerous times to see if there was an outstanding balance in February and the months to follow. I never once received a bill with the service details and when I attempted to call the number given it rang and rang without answer or the ability to leave a voicemail. I received a June bill postmarked for 7/22 but they already tacked on a $194 fee even though I hadn’t received it. I would highly recommend avoiding this practice.

I came to Dr. Grand for a second opinion on my massive fibroid. I ended up feeling so comfortable with her that I decided to go ahead and schedule surgery. She is very straight forward with you and doesn’t pressure you to make a decision either way but instead informs you on the options and what they entail. My surgery took place roughly 2 months after my initial visit with her and everything went perfectly. My C-section cut is so low I don’t think I’ll ever have issues with it showing while wearing a bathing suit. If you’re looking for an OBGYN Dr. Grand is worth her weight in gold. When we’re cleared to get pregnant she will be the only Dr I will use!

I have always had a great experience while being there.The receptionists are very friendly and the process is easy.Dr.Rodney Snow and his group are the best!!

I would not recommend Heritage Medical Associates. While some of the individual doctors and nurses are great, there are more problems than it’s worth. When I didn’t have a great experience with my PCP and wanted to switch, I had to speak with multiple different people to get a answer. Apparently it is Heritage’s policy that that you can’t switch to a different PCP at the same location and you have to request a transfer to a specific doctor. I requested to transfer to two different PCPs, both who were taking new patients, and I was denied. I’ve also had issues with their outdated lab procedures and inaccurate billing. I will be going elsewhere.

Doctors are great, but the organization is too big to provide personalized care. Too many people working, so the "right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing." Their employees need to brush up on their soft skills. Patients need to be notified if their appointments are changed. Just because you have someone in the office who is willing to see a client when you're not there, does not mean that it is okay with the patient. I've tried several doctors at Heritage Medical Associates and the doctors are always lovely, but the rest of the process makes it difficult (to put it mildly) to get any kind of ongoing, quality medical care.

I am fairly new to Nashville and Dr. Anderson has become my first primary care doctor as an adult. I have very much enjoyed being his patient and he is very kind and informative when I have questions. The Follow My Health portal is super convenient and allows me to communicate with Dr. Anderson outside of an appointment. Highly recommend this practice.

Doctor was great, front desk person (there's only one) was great. Nobody EVER answers the phone, so when I had to call and cancel, apparently they didn't get the message, or they did and chose to ignore it and charged me for missed appointments. Then someone in the office scheduled an appointment for me with another doctor, never told me, never ASKED me if I could make the appointment. Never received a confirmation phone call, nada. Then I see there's a canceled appointment fee. I have requested that it be removed, I was told it was. It's still there. Well, I ain't paying it...and if I have to lodge a complaint with the BBB, Consumer Affairs and the Medical Board, I will. I don't play the health hostage game. I mean, everyone is broke, these days especially, and insurance sucks...but they won't cut you a break. Make sure if you die that your family buries you extra deep, this billing office might come dig you up and shake your pockets for change.

Do not go see Dr. Murff. I started seeing her in January 2021 after my other PCP left Heritage Medical Associates. I recently moved out of state and ran out of refills on my anxiety/depression medication. However, I wasn't able to get an appointment with my new PCP until April, so I requested a refill to hold me over until my appointment and she is refusing to refill a medication that I've been on for 3+ years unless I see her in person. Not to mention her office staff lied and said they sent in the refill when they did not. SO unprofessional and do not recommend. What kind of doctor lets you quit a medication that you've been on long-term cold turkey?

I have never been so poorly treated by a staff than at Heritage Medical. I have been lied to and manipulated by multiple staff members and when calling today and after I gave my name to the “child” on the phone they laughed at me. After asking for a supervisor she said you really want to talk to Stacy again? Well it appears STACY is the leader of this gang at Heritage Medical Associates and I will be filing multiple grievances with the BBB. This practice has harassed me for a bill that has already received payment through collections. Yet they continue to send me this same bill. Any reasoning with the billing department results in nothing but combative behavior and never once have I been treated with decency. I did get upset and cuss at them and for the first time the “child” regurgitated a line from their HR Handbook and the only flicker of professionalism she’s demonstrated. These people have taken my shortcomings as personal threats or inconveniences, my lack of insurance and resources at this time should not result in further embarrassment. You should be ashamed of yourselves for this kind of conduct. I came to you for help and you talk over me and push me into a corner, you’re not superior you just hold a position of power. Your conduct will not go unnoticed and I will see to it that this mistreatment and targeted manipulation is addressed by a State Authority. -Ford

I've never been a big fan of going to the doctor and have neglected to find a provider for years. My experience with Heritage has been nothing short of spectacular. Between Dr. McKean and Dr. Stevens, the level of care provided is second-to-none. I've enjoyed Heritage so much that I have transitioned most of my needs to their practice. I'm looking forward to seeing the allergist recommended through their practice. Definitely recommend.
