Great shop. They helped me ship an e-bike battery when the local FedEx store couldn’t help with it. Made sure it was healthy and working prior to shipping

I can't praise this business enough. Locally owned and operated, super solid peeps, they absolutely know what they're doing. If you need it, they either have it or will get it faster than anyone else. Broke a chain on a ride today and walked my bike in about an hour before closing. I left 45 minutes later with new grips, a chain, a cassette (everything was overdue for changing), and, of course, a killer ZenCog hat. They even straightened out my derailleur hanger (super cool tool) after noticing it was shifting a little off. You won't find a better bike shop in Jax. Oh, they also rent bikes if you want to cruise around riverside and take the pedestrian bridge into San Marco and the south bank. For reference, I'm riding a Specialized Turbo Levo.

One of my best experiences shopping. I went there one day and the owner had exactly what I needed, but needed to order it in. The next day he had it ready for me and it was just perfect! Extremely helpful and efficient operation here.

In the hierarchy or bike shops, places like zencog are both rare and at the peak. This place has the ability to service everything from hipster fixies, to e-bikes, to high end race bikes, and everything in between. The thing that sets them apart is the complete lack of snooty elitism so common in the bicycle industry. You’re never going to be greeted with a scowl or a feeling that you’re not “part of the club” when you walk in. They know that the right bike isn’t necessarily the $8000 tech laden marvel, but rather something that fits what you are going to actually do with the bike. Of course, if you’re looking for a fancy dream machine, they do fittings and can get you that too. They always have a variety of cool used bikes, as well as high quality new stuff. The mechanics are true bike enthusiasts who seem genuinely interested in bikes, and not just salespeople wanting to sell you the most expensive spec sheet nonsense. The fact that they do community events weekly, and have an entire charity dedicated to giving unhoused people bike transportation at the honeypot collective is a testament to the kind of person the owner Garf is. They’re open 7 days a week during hours that actual people need which is nice. I’m lucky enough to live walking distance to zencog, but even if I wasn’t, I would drive considerable distances to shop here.

No combination of words can do justice what Zencog has meant to me! Garf (the owner) is an awesome human who loves his community and is always giving back. He picks up trash around the neighborhood when walks his shop dog, Merri. Everyone who has or continues to work there is a gem. The Thursday night bike rides have been a lifeline for me as I navigate life. The community surrounding both Zencog and honey pot bike collective is a hodgepodge group of folks from many walks of life, being drawn together by our love of riding bikes outside with friends. I’ve had various bike issues over the years, the first one being that I did not have a bike. Garf quickly took care of this issue, had has taken care of me and my bike ever since. 10/10 recommend!

Shocked I haven't done a review yet, this is my local bike shop I drive past three others to get to. Garf is a fantastic business owner who cares about enriching the community. His staff is always knowledgeable and they lead you in the right direction on your next bicycle purchase or repair

Very helpful employees. Great hospitality. Will greet their regular customers on a first name basis. Very helpful on information on whatever problems you're encountering on your rides or areas you ride in. Has professionals to do maintenance on your bicycles and ebikes. Can order whatever part your bike needs if they don't have it in stock, and will return anything on order if you decide to change your mind with no questions asked. Absolutely love this business and would highly recommend anyone to come here for all of their bike needs. Keep up the good work ZenCog!

Wow, great shop. Went in after IM Jacksonville this weekend for a pedal wrench since we purchased a bike box Alan. Not only did they quickly take the pedals off for me, but thanked us for coming in, for visiting their city and enjoying ourselves. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Best part, beautiful pup in the shop. A true locally owned bike shop. Highly recommend.

I have been a customer of Zen Cogs since they have opened. As an owner of four bicycles one of which is electric, Zen Cog performs great maintenance on all my bikes. Very friendly a knowledgeable. Zen Cog are great supports of the Riverside Avondale area. They help build and repair bike for the Sultzbacher center and have bike rides for the Riverside Art market.
