wanted to get tannus liners installed. like a kinda handy guy, i bought the liners and tubes to diy, but for the life of me, couldn't install myself. these guys did it for the cheapest if all the places i called, and subjectively, just seemed like straight up honest peeps. less than 24 hours later i had my wheels back, and for half the price of my local beaches shop. 100% 10/10, would recommend, and even tho im at the beaches, im calling them first.
I took a couple of bikes to get chains replaced, a tire, and some brake work done. A few days later, they called me and gave me an estimate of $300, which seemed like a lot, but I still accepted the deal. It took three weeks for them to be ready, and when I went to pick them up, they said they were $550. This repair is way more expensive than the bike itself. They're really crazy if they think I'm going to pay for it.
Need a bicycle? They got it. Need parts? They got that too. Questions about "The jax cycle scene"! They know people 😉 ... Love to support my local bike shop whenever I get the opportunity, Thank you ZenCog
Unprofessional Owner with poor communication skills. Rather support other local bike shops like Open Road, Tucker Cycles, or Champion Cycling. Edit: No I am not the guy about the spoke count on rims but sounds like you had a different negative interaction. I was a customer that you worked on a bike for. Really not need to rehash out the whole situation. Rarely do I ever leave a bad review (especially for local businesses) but I really felt it necessary to let others know what they should expect as they walk in. You really should work on your customer service skills and overall professional communication skills.
Finding an ethical, professional and very knowledgeable bike store is difficult. Yet, ZenCog is that store. And, they do it with a cool, straight talk vibe that is really a joy. The entire team provides a rare experience. I love turning my friends on to this Jacksonville gem.

Best bike shop in Jacksonville and the country. There are plenty of shops with friendly and knowledgeable folks, but this shop has much more than that. The folks here will treat you like you're actually their friend. I've gotten tune-ups here for years and the price and quality has always been on point. There is a flow to this store that is a combination of good conversation and relaxed vibes mixed with ruthless efficiency to maximize your experience. Perhaps most amazingly, after my bike frame got smashed (long story), I found a very comparable bike that fit me at a great price the next day at ZenCog. These days good bikes that fit you and their corresponding components are hard to come by. I looked on every 3rd party seller site I could and called most bike shops in the city to explore my options. But lo and behold, the smaller shop right down the street that I've come to know and love had just the bike I was looking for. ZenCog simply provides an invaluable service to the community and it deserves to thrive.
The epitome of local love. I randomly came in for a helmet, new to the area. Garfield (?) immediately helped me out without losing his finesse and style. He was utterly honest and straight to the point. The shop is tiny like a New York apartment jam packed with stuff so patience seems like a good thing to have as they navigate the sky high supplies lining the perimeter of the shop. After getting me exactly what I wanted he and the other two men there made me feel at home and welcome to Jax with tips on navigating Jacksonville’s rather unfriendly roads. They helped me feel heard and seen. Garfield even offered me water and filled my tires up with air just because. And they wore masks and face shields! High marks. Will be back! Beautiful beings.
Bought a Tern folding bike from Zencog. All employees were extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Would highly recommend Zencog for any of your cycling needs.
Best shop around. Straight shooters that won't do you wrong.
