Long story short, this is the best bike shop in Jacksonville. The services offered here are extremely comprehensive and fairly priced, and there is a huge selection of bikes and biking equipment available in stock. Garf and his team are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and consistently go above and beyond to make sure everyone that comes through their door is treated fairly and politely. The work they've performed on my bike has made it feel as good as new, and they back up all of their work with support if anything feels weird or needs an adjustment afterwards. I can't recommend this shop enough to anyone looking to purchase a new bike or take care of their existing bike.

I received a bike shipped to me, and made the mistake of agreeing to a ride the following day. I ran into an issue installing my rear derailleur and called the shop... and my goodness they were amazing. They went out of their way to look at my bike and get her set up correctly all in the same day due to my own negligence. I hadn't found a bike store since moving to Jacksonville, but now I have. This will be my go-to spot for sure! But I promise to give them more heads-up in the future :-)

Awesome local bike shop! They were extremely reasonable at every juncture with me as I tuned up an old used bike. When it kept giving me trouble they allowed me to take the tune up fee off of a new bike that fit me better - and offered to continue to help me keep it in shape for cheaper than anywhere else would! They’ve got dope accessories and awesome service that has earned a loyal customer in me.

I called every bike shop in Jax and even brought my bike into several of the shops for a quote, unfortunately none were capable of repairing the “custom bike”. The ZenCog team not only fixed my bike for VERY FAIR price, but the turn around was amazing. Extremely accommodating, especially given their current workload and influx of new customers. You can definitely tell they all love what they do and are experts of their craft. For a first time customer, I am very satisfied and will continue using and recommending their services to others

We live an hour and a half away from the store, drove by several other bike shops and decided to go with the best service and customer service. We bought 3 salsa bikes and love them. Great down to earth store. Thanks again, to the whole team.

Some friends referred me to Zencog long ago and I was finally able to stop in to take a look around. The staff was incredibly helpful and prices are aligned with what I was looking for. Sam answered all of my questions so I could decide what bike was best for me and was patient while we talked about all of the things I wanted. None of the bikes in store were my size so they ordered one for me that was delivered to the shop in less than a week. The experience felt less like a business transaction and more like working with close friends. Thank you to Chris (I think was his name) who took off the fenders and gave me lots of pointers about creating a comfortable ride! You guys are the best!

Sam is awesome. This bike shop reminds me of my old neighborhood bike shop. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Sam was able to scrap around band find a couple used parts to get me back on the road

Been here a few times now, and this is my new permanent bike shop for sure! The guys here are super helpful, and put no pressure on you to buy something out of your price range. I was informed on good bike choices, and encouraged to take my time/look through all of my options. Garfield is the one who helped me mainly, and he was friendly, funny, and well-informed. I’d highly recommend Zencog whether you’re looking for a new bike, some new gear, or need a tune up! You’ll be in good hands.

I am updating my review a bit. It is now 08/19/23. I am updating because the owner made 3 attempts to get a hold of me In a good faith attempt to fix the issues. Unfortunately I had already fixed the issues. I will however leave my original review below untouched, but instead of avoid at all costs, I'll say just be carefull. The owner was very friendly however those issues should never have happened, mistakes happen sure, but pedals falling off, and chains not properly tightened can cause so much potential damage to the rider, the bike, or objects around them upto and including death. Hopefully he will emphasize the things that can happen with an improperly assemble bike to his employees, I know I have witnessed and experienced what can happen personally 1 improperly tightened screw had me unbalance the bike and hit concrete at 20+ mph. It wasn't fun. I agree whole heartedly with Cindy Smith. The only reason I give this place a single star is that there is no lower rating. I took my bike in for a new chain and while their I asked them to do a tune up. when I went to pick up my bike it was locked up outside the store in the rain. On my second ride my left pedal fell off this could have been a major issue as this is the pedal I dismount on. Thankfully it held on just long enough. Lastly this is a single speed bike putting a chain on shouldn't be difficult the only reason I took it in is because I got tired of procrastinating. I should have changed it myself. I kept hearing a loud thud as I rode at first I kept thinking I broke a spoke but no nothing there. Well I found out what it was when the chain fell off the spokes and jammed between the frame and rear crank. I have included 3 photos 2 of the chain. There is at least 2 extra links in this chain if not 3. How incompetent are their mechanics if they can't put a chain on a single speed crankset properly, and where is the quality control. I paid 150 for this death trap and now I am going to have to pay a bike shop I know I can trust another 100 at least to double check their "work" (and I mean work with all do sarcasm). Don't trust this place with your life. Edit. I also had difficulty with communicating with them. They send you a text with your bill which is nice. The text clearly states to reply to that text message with questions. I made 3 or 4 attempts to contact them after the bike "work" was finished to get my final bill with no responses. Their communication skills are as good as their work. Don't waste your time calling or texting you have to stop in.

ZENCOG, highly recommend!! Experienced, knowledgeable, kind, and great personality as I was in need of a helmet today for the Riverside, Avondale Garden bike tour . Thank you Garfield!!
