Today I walked in, first time shopping here at the Cordova location. A worker had made a small mistake and was disrespected and embarrassed by a lady with brown hair. That tells me that the some of the staff here are rude and ugly towards their workers. Very unprofessional.

I'd leave no stars if I could. They refused to give me a credit because there wasn't a manager on duty. They only accepted 5 pieces of clothing out of two baskets of new clothes. Waste of time and gas.

From a seller standpoint, I like the store. I wish they would make an offer for more items at once since it's a 25 minute drive, but I typically get over $1 and item and walk out with $15-$20 each time. Everything that is left over I mail into Moxie Jean. I have never bought. It's not that the prices aren't fair, but that some of the items belong in a yard sale, not a consignment store. I always see toys that are filthy and dresses that are ripped. The ripped dresses may be from rough customers, but the dirty toys gross me out and makes me wonder how some of my items were rejected. I will continue to sell there, but don't plan on buying there. I will note that it takes a long time for them to go through your clothes. They always say about 2 hours but it's usually more like 3 hours. Thankfully I make a day out of it since I live so far out and go to Shelby Farms or something nearby which takes more than 2 hours. If you plan on waiting in store, you might be waiting for a while.

I brought in 3 large bags of clothes, many in better condition than what they themselves sell, and all were rejected! The clothes varied in size from newborn to 3T for boys and girls. There were even shoes there, which they say are in high demand and they took none of them. The next day, I brought in a few brand new unopened toys, some shoes in good condition and a diaper bag. $6.50 is all they offered! That was less than the gas to drive there. I know they did not even look at the clothing I tried to sell. I will not ever consign there again. I will sell it myself on fb or in a yard sale or I will just donate it. They said my items were stained, Not true. I walked past items in the store that were for sale that had stains on it. I know my things were of nice quality. Selling here is just not worth it.

Once Upon A Child-Cordova was once a store I shopped for my children's clothing every week and biweekly. I would often buy two or three bags full at a time. I have stopped shopping there for two reasons: 1. I bought clothes there second hand and treated them gently. When I brought them back to be sold due to my children outgrowing them, I was told on several occasions the clothing didn't fit the criteria for resell. So the clothes I just bought from you do not meet the criteria to bring back? Ok. 2. Although some clothing pieces are cheaper per piece than going to a conventional store some a not. Being the alternative to big box stores, you have to create more of an edge besides this is cheaper than going to a regular store. Its the full customer experience. I have found that I may have to pay a dollar or two more for the same clothing because, I don't buy designer clothes for them, as a customer I'm fine with that. In closing, had pretty good experience when I went. The employees were always helpful and nice. Every now and then I feel I want to go, but honestly I cant bring myself to do it, because I feel like the store takes more than it gives.

I have lived all over the US and usually love this store. This location hardly takes anything. What they do take they under pay for and then jack the prices up. $5.50 for a newborn sleeper? That's new pricing. Equipment on floor is dirty and over priced. Not sure how they are buying that stuff but refusing other things. Made my last sale there today. I won't be back and I'll be sure to let others know as well.

They had a fairly decent selection of clothing but the past 2 times shopping they've had no air conditioning and it was miserable. Also they need to seriously reevaluate their staff, the cashier had a bad attitude rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing about a baby crying in the store the entire time she checked us out. She was also extremely rude to several customers helping children try on clothes.

Just went inside of this location and it was dry no one asked or spoke that I need any assistance everyone that worked there had there heads down like they were working so hard. On the front door it has a clearance sign 50% off and now I see why because no one was in this place but me and my daughter looking for a stroller. I asked to speak with a manager and some young girl named Morgan said she was the manager and I said youre the manager and she heard my daughter and I ask why we werent asked for assistance until I said who's the manager. My s no good customer service and that's probably why no one was in there shopping and I mean literally no one! And so my daughter and I didn't not spend our money at this location.

I’m not sure why I keep selling to this location. On my first visit to the new store, I was struggling to lug in a piece of baby gear. The cashier watched me, did not speak, and waited until I got to the counter to tell me they weren’t buying because their system was down. It didn’t occur to anyone to put up a sign, nor did it occur to her to speak and tell me that whilst I lugged stuff in. On my second visit, they were only taking one bin at a time with 6-7 hour wait. They bought a high chair from me and when telling me how much they were buying it for, the attendant used the word “only” as in “offer only $10.” Now, I know they are buying it cheap, but to verbally cue it is another thing. My point is customer service leaves MUCH to be desired, and I more often than not leave vexed. Maybe I should try Summer Kids.
