I took 3 pairs of shoes that haven’t been worn to this location and the clerk said “I’m just going to tell you, your not going to get as much as what you paid.” And I said“Of course not but this would be a sale you guys, but never mind I will sale them on eBay” The lady did not want my business. If you don’t like your job then you need to find something better and something you’ll enjoy doing. I’ve never had any issues from this store but after today I will not be returning.
I usually like to sell and shop here when needed, but EVERYTIME I come to Cordova Location the customer service is never met. The people that work there barely speak. Today, I went there to sell some items and buy some things my kids needed. Unfortunately, they have stopped buying certain things which I understand, but I was NOT ask once if I needed help with my things from my car or taking those items back... I had two toddlers with me and the people behind the counter were just standing there just looking. Mind you this is during the weekday early morning so it’s not so busy! A pregnant woman and a man offer to help me with ALL the items I needed help putting back to my car with my two toddlers with me. I WILL NOT GIVE THEM MY MONEY NOR MY SERVICE FROM THIS DAY FORWARD! This location (Cordova)! I do like the other locations but this one... I’m pretty much done! Also, I have tried to call the manager once I left but the girl that answer says she’s off for the day... How are there employees working with no store manager or assistant manager?
Place was in shambles, it was cramped, cluttered, everything was a jumbled mess. The staff kept using the excuse of being short handed but when there are three of you standing at one register talking about what you are doing after work/what you want to eat you aren't understaffed your staff is useless. Then the fact that they're trying to charge 4.50 for a Walmart shirt with a 3.98 sticker attached sealed the deal that this store needs some new management.
Dropped my one bag of things off right at opening. The app said it would be ready around 12:30 no problem. Waited around and finally I called and they told me it would be the next day… I live an hour away so this is not convenient for me. I waited 4 hours in my car with a baby and did not get told once it would be done the next day. Staff was eating behind the counter and then going through clothes. Just not friendly overall
I always appreciate the effort Aleena puts in to make sure I’m satisfied as a customer the customer service is seriously unmatched and she’s so informative
Waisted time and gas. I was told “we dont sell carseats” ok cool. Gave them 2 bags of clothes, mind you its 5 workers in there. We waited 2 to 3 hours for them to go through the clothes as the “link” she gave me said. It said it would be ready at 12:15pm, we arrived at 10 something. I went back at 12:15 like the link said, employee dont know her name but she already had a stanky attitude she says “dont go by that” its not our text , then why give me the link? Why is that even on yall profile ? If you knew when i left that the link is not accurate why not tell me before i left the store ? They hadn’t even touched the bags then i asked for them back because i wasnt waiting all day. She didnt even know where the bags were and still had an attitude giving them to me. Will not be back!
I had a truly awful experience at Once Upon a Child, and it was entirely due to the customer service. I understand we are all understaffed, and I will always give more than one opportunity. I hope they recieve the treatment they dish to others. A week before coming in, I called ahead to ask whether they were accepting items and get information as I've never sold anything with them. At no point was I told there were limits on how much clothing could be brought in. So I showed up with six boxes of my son’s clothes and shoes for resale, only to be told very curtly that I could only bring in one box or bag of clothes and unlimited everything else. Ashley was the representative I interacted with both times, and she seemed to be management. When I told her I was new, and had 6 boxes of clothes her response was "oh, that's not gonna work" i should have followed my gut at that moment and left and never returned. The information would have been helpful to know before I loaded everything up and made the trip. Even then, I let the attitude slide and brought in the one box they said they would take. I was told that once I received a text, I would have 24 hours to pick up my items. Later, I got a text with a link to follow the status, and when I clicked it, it showed the order as complete. So I came back today to pick up my items, only to be met with more rude behavior. They couldn’t find my things, and when they did, I was told they had not even gone through them yet. When I explained that I had received a text showing the status as complete, I was snapped at by Ashley and told, “That’s not our text.” I literally showed the her the exact text, the link, and the status page I had been sent. At that point, I told her exactly what needed to be said: yesterday yall were rude, today they were rude again, and as a first-time customer trying to understand their process, I was treated with unnecessary attitude both times. I explained that I was concerned about following the undocumented rules they operate by. I took my things and left. The process was poorly communicated, disorganized, and handled with absolutely terrible customer service. If you want people to bring in quality items and have cutomers continue doing business with you, your employees need to learn how to speak to customers with basic decency and professionalism. Clearly documenting your process would also be great to avoid us asking questions since your staff is too busy and bothered to answer a question halfway properly. I would rather donate items to someone than take a single dollar from your establishment. I hate that I have ever spent money with such a terrible group of people. You have unfortunately lost a really great client. Also unfortunately I like to share my experiences both good and bad. Have the day you all deserve.
This place has gone down hill since just even last year. It’s not even the prices or what you get for selling which is next to nothing compared to other places- it’s their attitudes which is was so ugly this time. I always call ahead of time to tell them what I have because I live 40 minutes away. They agreed for me to bring my items. Mind you- not clothing like mostly everything there. I also understand first come, first serve. However, I brought my items in at 12:30pm Thursday and was told it would be ready by the next day in the morning. My “estimated time” said 11:30am so I gave it longer just in case. And no I never received a text but it wasn’t much- mostly toys around 13 items, and 2 diaper bags. I was also told it would be the next day in the morning so again I wanted to give them time. It’s 1pm on Friday and they’re still incredibly backed up and haven’t even gotten to my items. Then I’m told- it’ll be the next day and yes the look on my face was very shocked. Then one lady in a very ugly manner said “does she want her stuff back” and I just said yes. I can sell them online faster. Business here just isn’t what it used to be. We will not be back. Collierville is most definitely worth the extra 10 minute drive. I pray they do better with customer service and organization. Be blessed.
Well I drop a bag off around 6:30pm one day and it wasn’t ready until the next day, lucky I check my waiting time and called them instead of thinking assuming it’ll be done the same day I want inform that it was 42 people in front of me at the store. Second I feel ripped off because I had a bag with 10+ brand new pairs of shoes never put on and was only offered $40 bucks
I dropped off my items at this location on Monday at 3:48 p.m. The employee told me to wait for a confirmation text. However, the process website showed my items as completed at 12:45, but when I called Tuesday evening, I was told they still weren’t ready. I called again on Wednesday, and this time they said my items were ready. When I asked over the phone how much my offer was, they couldn’t tell me. Once I arrived, the employee had to search around to find my order before finally telling me they could only offer $11.93 for my items. They gave me $11 but didn’t even give me the remaining 93 cents. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience. The communication was confusing, the process took longer than expected, and the offer was extremely low. One pair of Nike shoes alone originally cost around $40. In my experience, they will definitely lowball you.
