Omnidian and staff are great! Had an issue with web connectivity and the technician walked me through the problem and all is fixed. Technician was pleasant and he knew his stuff. I would recommend Omnidian anytime.
This company is horrible. I rue the day they took over Direct Energy with Astrum Solar. After my repeated phone calls checking on the status and giving instructions on where to mail my SREC check (with written documentation that I moved!) not only was the check (for 4k) FOUR months late, it was sent TO THE WRONG ADDRESS despite those multiple calls. They also gave me wholly inaccurate statements about whether SRECs could be retained by me after the sale of my home. They even kicked it to upper management who gave me the same false info. This is damaging for homeowners who spend the money and time investing in solar in the district. They’ve mislead into thinking they can’t retain ownership of their SRECs. I negotiated the terms with the buyers of my home and I am noneworking with SRECTrade as my SREC trading partner and no longer with Astrumn and Omnidian. How dare they give false information! You cannot dictate what I do with my property and my investment in solar.
A very knowledgeable technical support team who resolved my issue quickly and efficiently. No waiting time to get connected to the support group and they followed up to ensure everything was working properly after the fix.
solar panels suddenly stopped producing - zero output - for several days. Omnidian suggested that line voltage being supplied by utility was too high (measured 135 volts at panel) for the inverters. the Utility company replaced transformer on utility pole now supplying 122 volts. Solar panels resumed Production. This diagnosis caused the utility to correct an unusual and potentially unsafe condition for myself and our neighbors who would have no idea that the voltage being supplied was too high. High voltage at the very least would likely damage appliances such as refrigerators and sensitive appliances such as computers and TVs We lost some days of solar panel production but am thankful for the resolution to an unusual high voltage condition that surely would have gone un-diagnosed indefinitely.
All of our interactions with Omnidian have been positive. They contracted with our solar panel installation provider to handle support and have proactively notified us a couple of times when our system was not communicating properly. Simple resolutions but nice to have someone actively monitoring our system.
My solar PV Supervisor was not displaying electric usage correctly, the technician drove 90 minutes to my home, spent all the time he could to talk with me to understand the problem, took all the readings and then figured out a way to do a hard reset to get the device working again. He could have easily given up but he stuck with it until the problem was solved, I was impressed and appreciated with his willingness to stick it out until he solved the issue.
The crew was very knowledgeable. When I failed to leave out the an inverter that had been sent to me for the crew to install they went ahead I took one out of their inventory. Installed it and gave me a mailer to send back the inverter that had I had left inside my home. They got the job done and now my system is up to full capacity
The worst. Was quoted price to uninstall and reinstall solar panels. Ladbs requires electrical permit. They claimed since they never got busted they would have to charge more. This was after they ghosted me for two months. Beware. Make sure what you are agreeing to before you accept offer.
I worked with Maurice and Charles. Both were very responsive and easy to deal with. Maurice stayed on top of my project even sending me an email to follow-up. These were a couple of the best support people I've dealt with in a long time.
