My solar PV Supervisor was not displaying electric usage correctly, the technician drove 90 minutes to my home, spent all the time he could to talk with me to understand the problem, took all the readings and then figured out a way to do a hard reset to get the device working again. He could have easily given up but he stuck with it until the problem was solved, I was impressed and appreciated with his willingness to stick it out until he solved the issue.
All of our interactions with Omnidian have been positive. They contracted with our solar panel installation provider to handle support and have proactively notified us a couple of times when our system was not communicating properly. Simple resolutions but nice to have someone actively monitoring our system.
solar panels suddenly stopped producing - zero output - for several days. Omnidian suggested that line voltage being supplied by utility was too high (measured 135 volts at panel) for the inverters. the Utility company replaced transformer on utility pole now supplying 122 volts. Solar panels resumed Production. This diagnosis caused the utility to correct an unusual and potentially unsafe condition for myself and our neighbors who would have no idea that the voltage being supplied was too high. High voltage at the very least would likely damage appliances such as refrigerators and sensitive appliances such as computers and TVs We lost some days of solar panel production but am thankful for the resolution to an unusual high voltage condition that surely would have gone un-diagnosed indefinitely.
A very knowledgeable technical support team who resolved my issue quickly and efficiently. No waiting time to get connected to the support group and they followed up to ensure everything was working properly after the fix.
Omnidian and staff are great! Had an issue with web connectivity and the technician walked me through the problem and all is fixed. Technician was pleasant and he knew his stuff. I would recommend Omnidian anytime.
Ominidian took over my solar project after the initial contractor lost their license. I have been in communications with them since September to have my solar panel project completed. Every time I ask for an update, I receive very broad answers like “We are still waiting for a response” or “we will let you know as soon as we get an update”, but the only update I receive is that they are still waiting for an update. Either Omnidian or the contractor they hired are haven’t done anything to have my project progress and neither seem to make an effort to help resolve the issue. I have expressed my concerns and frustrations numerous times but there never seems to be progress. Omnidian was hired to help finish my solar project but they have shown to be unreliable and have only hired another unreliable company. It’s proven by the negative reviews and BBB complaints I have seen.
My PV inverter was not working and I called for tech support. I received a phone call as a preliminary check that everything was switched on and it appeared to be. I then received a call telling me that a technician would visit but a new inverter would also be immediately ordered to expedite the possible fix (10 working days delivery). Later when I returned home, I discovered that a circuit breaker was out. Once the circuit breaker reset, the inverter started to function correctly. Had I been home on the first tech call, I probably would have found the problem then. Anyway, I contacted Omnidian to apologise and cancel the service call out etc. I felt a fool, but the response I got was supportive and generous and it was clear that they had done everything to that point that they could have done to help. Their email communications were excellent and backed up the promises made in the telephone call.
Our solar has been out for months. This is supposed to be our maintenance company through Everbright. Every time we call they tell us to call Freedom Forever, Freedom Forever Tells us to call them as well as Everbright. We were guaranteed production, yet here we are making payments on a solar system and also electricity from the grid. This is possibly the biggest fiasco I have ever gotten myself into. I would stay VERY VERY VERY far away from these people.
Omnidian is probably the worst company I have ever experienced. I was so happy that I had installed solar on my house in 2015, but it turns out that the panels are mostly for decoration. Omnidian do NOT monitor production (although their website claims they monitor the system 24/7). About 3.5 years ago my system suddenly produced only half of the energy as before. I did not realize until yesterday that the reason was that half of the panels are NOT working. Every time i call Omnidian for help they (1) put me on hold playing a tape that explains what a great company they are to work for (but they are clearly not a great company to be a client of); (2) they cannot connect me someone who can help. This is exceedingly frustrating. A few weeks ago they discovered that my system was not working at all (In retrospect this had been the case for a while). After multiple phone calls they made an appointment to have a conversation with someone who would help. I had to press some buttons a couple of times which resulted in the decision that my inverter needed to be replaced. About 6 weeks later i received the new inverter which was installed yesterday. Now i know my system has a major problem.
Our solar monitoring is not working for 10 months now. Omnidian are refusing to provide ETA about when it will be back up again. Or any meaningful information at all. Communication is pain with Omnidian. It is impossible to get anything concrete. "We will let you know", "Our contractor will contact you", "It takes time", for ten straight months now. It's very frustrating. Basically turns out that 3G got deprecated so our system stopped working because of that. This was known waay in advance. But we didn't get any notices. And Omnidian did not take any action to prevent outage. They did not contact us for any ETAs. They didn't contact us about how they are planning to deal with this. They finally sent a contractor to check it out after 9 months. The contractor came, checked it out, and now we're back to square one, waiting game. No updates from them for two weeks. "It takes time, we will let you know". Meanwhile nothing works. Update: After I left a negative review and a complaint with BBB everything got resolved within 2 business days.
