I've been going back and forth with Omnidian for years. The panels DO NOT WORK, yet I am paying a lease on them with zero results. They just push you off for months before sending someone to "fix" the problem...and it is never fixed. Biggest scam ever.
Today is 9-11my solar has been down since July 26 it still has not been fixed can't get the parts or service and can't even get a straight answer . With about 30 phone calls 20+ texts and and emails you say you can't find me I need the inverter replaced I've heard work order ,part went to the out of service company, told looking for a tracking number, solar edge is sending it I am tired of all the BS the solar is off my roof for new roof and that company will replace the inverter if you would just send the the parts
I recently had a warranty claim. Shae (the support worker) kept me informed regularly to let me know what was going on via the phone or email before and during the repair and then again after the repair to see if I was happy. The technician was also great. The job was completed and I am back producing solar energy again and I am very happy with the support and service I received. Thank you for the very pleasant experience.
**Updates will be provided at the bottom of the review. The Customer Service team has been great since the review We have been in contact with Omnidian for over a year trying to settle on a claim. During this period our roof has been leaking for over a year. It should be noted our roof is ONLY leaking from where the solar panels were installed. I’ve been told by multiple contractors the parts that don’t have solar panels have 20 years of life left. ***Update: The Customer Service department has reached out and is moving quickly to get the roof serviced. All further updates will be added below. ***Update. Omnidian's Customer Service continued with not only updates but with actionable results taking place with things getting done. The panels are back on and the system is back working. We fully recommend solar as the benefits do outweigh some of the risks. Thank you again to Brynn who worked so diligently on our case to make it right in the end.
Omnidian is a prime example of bad customer service. They don't answer phones or return calls. My solar system is not working. Katy from Omnidian said that she would find a solution and call in three days. It has been two weeks; no response and she is a manager!!!???? I can only hope that someone will provide some answers.
Terrible. The worst! My system is not working correctly. I called for support. They claim that they mailed me a component years ago which I never requested or received and that if I want another one I had to pay for it. Complete lies. Masters of the runaround.
I have had several issues with a leaking roof under the solar panels. I have tried to work with them on several occasions. The solar panels were poorly installed and have as many as 12 leaks even after they tried a quick patch effort. They claim it is an old roof and I remind them that the leaks are only under their panels. Yes, the home is 19 years old, but the rest of the roof is doing great. We are senior citizens on a fixed income just trying to resolve this problem for over a year.
This is the worst company I have had to deal with. Moved into a house with solar panels already installed by this company. Since then, have noticed that my electric bills are pretty high so gave them a call. They finally confirmed that indeed my panels are "underproducing" on August 7th. Told me to turn my circuit off. I have not been using my panels since then. It took them until Sept 23rd to send out their "service partner" Indigo Solar who would not return my calls to set up an appointment, etc. Finally, the man came out and told me a circuit needs to be replaced and that he'd submit the work order. That was 9/23. It's now 10/8 and tons of emails later and still without my solar panels. Omnidian has not gotten the request to approve the work order and Indigo has not come out. Once they receive the request, I'll have to go through the whole process or waiting to make an appointment which will most likely take another month. WHAT THE HECK? What type of service is this?
BUYER BEWARE I have been waiting for over 2 years for failed parts to be replaced in my solar array. I have never pressured them to follow the exact terms of my contract. I have been more than patient. They keep kicking the can down the road. They offer minimal compensation for lost production and post pone service for a year. Each time they have done this, they can't produce the original ticket and generate a new one. This has happened for 2 years now. I fear that I will be left holding the bag if the whole system fails. I don't recommend doing any business with them. I was a customer with a previous company that sold to them. The previous company would notify me if a micro inverter failed and come and replace it! I'd never even know they'd been here until they told me as soon as the work was done and I would check and see my array at 100%. This company is nothing like the previous! Don't do business with if you don't have to!
Could not be happier with the professional service provided by Omnidian. We were away on holidays on the East Coast when we received a message from Omnidian to say that they had an alert from the monitoring system that one of our inverters had failed. Shea kindly ordered a warranty replacement and was installed the day after we returned home. The communication and follow-up has been amazing. Thank you all.
