Amazing selection, Whole Foods quality but a little lower price. Wonderful staff. Great variety of prepared foods, literally anything you want, I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Honestly probably one of the better markets I've been to in a minute especially with the massive selection in floral. They're floral arrangements were not low quality I will say that and the selection of food items for the prepared and still hot to go was a really fantastically large variety. If you're really hungry it can be overwhelming but it's great to plan your meal ahead if you weren't sure what you were going to have for lunch and your business break. It can be a little overwhelming the parking lot is pretty crowded and I will say unfortunately that a lot of the customers are very unfriendly while the staff members are incredibly friendly. You can't help the kind of people that you attract sometimes, that's no fault of the store but just don't expect anyone to be nice to you in the parking lot.
Hello, I just wanted to start by saying that Metropolitan is my favorite store—I shop here often and really appreciate the quality and variety you offer. I did want to share one concern that’s been on my mind. I’ve noticed that fruits and vegetables are sometimes left outside, and it makes me a little uneasy knowing that anyone could potentially touch or tamper with them. I completely understand space and display challenges, but from a customer perspective, food safety is really important. I’m sharing this because I genuinely care about the store and hope it continues to be a place I feel comfortable shopping at. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate all the work you do. Best regards,
It's my first time going to the Metropolitan Market and I like the selection of fruits and vegetables and there is so much good stuff. The poke bar caught my attention. So, did the freshly prepared dinners. Sadly though, by the time I popped inside the store, everything was put away already. Additionally, there's no one there that greets us. This store is a recommendation from my nephew who used to live around the area. He moved to California for a career in Hollywood. He came back to Seattle to visit and took me to this store just to show me how awesome it is. The store is amazing as he described. We were excited about the giant chocolate cookies and ended up getting some of those. I will be back to check out the full-spread sandwich-making, seeing everyone in action. I'll try the weekend around lunchtime. I recommend checking the store out if you're in the area.
My favorite Met Market location in all of Seattle! Even so, as vast as the selection is, they do not regularly check to see if products are rotated. I once found a moldy donut in the display. I also saw that several chip bags were over a MONTH past the expiration date. Otherwise, the employees are great and I also love how massive their knick-knack section is here!
Very spacious and neat grocery store. I was surprised to see Clam Chowder and Cioppino soups separate from the main soup area. Lots of seating areas outside. The flower shop by the entrance is very pretty and smells divine.
Beautiful store in the heart of a neighborhood, minutes away from alki beach.
I am beyond disappointed with my experience ordering from Metropolitan Market. My husband and I paid in full, in advance for 50 cookies for my baby shower on March 28- an order totaling well over $200. We placed this order two weeks ahead of time and were explicitly told it would be ready for pickup at 9:00 AM the morning of my event. To make matters worse, my husband went in two days before to confirm everything. He was reassured, in person, that the order was placed and would be ready as promised. Yet when he arrived just after 9:00 AM on the day of pickup, we were told the order had been lost. Not delayed- lost. The cookies hadn’t even been baked. The only solution offered was 23 cookies they happened to have on hand and a request that we wait at least 30 minutes for the rest- which was completely unreasonable given I needed to be at my baby shower at 9:30. Let me be very clear: this was a fully prepaid order for a time-sensitive, special event, and despite confirming it twice, Metropolitan Market failed to deliver in the most basic way. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience- it was a complete breakdown in service, planning, and accountability. When a business takes full payment upfront and then doesn’t even prepare the order, it shows a serious lack of organization and respect for their customers’ time and important life events. Experiences like this are exactly why customers lose trust and take their business elsewhere. I will not be relying on Metropolitan Market again for anything important.
This Metropolitan market is HUGE! It looked like it was going to be small when I first parked, but then I got inside and it just goes on and on! I really love all the Met Market stores, but this one just had everything. And the check out lines were quick and easy. The deli counter did take a little bit of time and I wasn’t sure I was going to get what I asked for, but in the end I did. The produce is beautiful and each of the departments are just really nice. They don’t necessarily have ALL the brands, but they have GOOD brands and a little more elevated items. And if you have never had The Cookie? GET ONE!!!
Eileen at the flower stand, was an absolute joy And was so helpful with my grandmother‘s birthday Bouquet!!
