It's fancy! High end groceries, a strong selection of liquor, and what look like some amazing deli cases, include a tuna poke bar for putting together your own bowls.
Metropolitan Market is one of the few supermarkets around Seattle were you also can buy fresh fruit, vegetables en other healthy products.
I LOVE this store! And specifically this location. There is alwsys some new item in prepared foods, bakery, and cheeses, my 3 favorite areas to visit. The cheese counter is like Christmas morning every time I explore it. I never know what I'll find new. The same can be said for the bakery. Check out what new breads Macrina Bakery has for the season. I'd be remiss to not mention the produce. Not only does MM stock and meticulously display fruits and vegetables to look as if they are a set for a Wes Anderson film, but they keep up with seasonal offerings and they will always be at their peak!
Worst deli case help ever. Five people walked by me five times a piece, without a word. A pretty big line was starting to form as it was 11am on Superbowl Sunday, in Seattle. Finally someone from the back came out to help, then 3 people had to tell her how she was doing it wrong. Including the deli "manager" who also clearly sets the tone for the complete lack of care, courtesy, and customer service. Everything else there is fine, just not the deli.
Excellent grocery store if you don't buy things you can get at other grocery stores. Clean well appointed and the deli and hot food is fantastic.
Pricey, but always exceptional. If you want some delicious breakfast sandwiches, this is the place to go, but get there early; they sell out fast.
Very condescending racist store. I came in and was ordering some charcuterie, a random elderly couple literally cut me off and started ordering as I was in the middle of my order. The clerk who was assisting me started yelling at me defending the fact that the lady cut me off. He lied and said she was talking to her husband when that is not true, she literally worded the words “Hey, I would like 7 slices of…” as I was standing right there in the middle of my order. I felt so dismissed and less than. As a person of color I was ganged up on by the clerk and the lady who was so snobby. This is the worse location in Seattle no need to come here as they are racist and aggressive. This store has lost its values and I will not be shopping here again.
A step above other markets like Safeway in terms of quality and variety.Deli section in particular is excellent.Similar to WF and Pcc,but less tree-huggy.Nice,pleasant atmosphere.Chicken breast and mashed potatoes in particular are very good.
What I find most impressive here is the massive selection of fine cheese, you name it they got it. I recommend anything from Beechers my favorite is the flagship. I just enjoyed the breakfast buffet for the first time and I have to say it was delicious, cheesy hash browns with scrambled eggs and some grilled pork sausage. Brb Im going back for more!
l normaly like this this store but You insistly bring rotten fruit. Your prices are very expensive but l prefer you because l think you bring quality and fresh products. BUT it big disappointment for me. The tangerines are rotten and the chestnuts are not ripe, maybe last year or before.😠
