I have to say I didn’t expect to be blown away by how intimate and fun this show was. Lonnie McFadden is a seasoned professional who brings all he has, a lifetime of performing, and a history K.C. jazz that’s unmatched. It’s well worth the time and money to take in a show.

This place should have happened years ago. Lonnie is a true performer, and this place is special. This is a very swanky feeling venue with incredible music and delicious food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an intimate Kansas City jazz experience.

What a wonderful experience and amazing way to spend our anniversary. Lonnie was an amazing entertainer, from the beginning to the ends.Loved everything about the show and dinner was amazing as well; the dinner is quite pricey and there is no price of the meals on the menu. The pictures around the wall are such a nice touch too. Would return but only for a special occasion due to pricing.
This is a must if you’re visiting KC, or want to have a special night out. Lonnie and his band put on a wonderful, unique show highlighting KC Jazz. The staff also goes out of their way to show you a great time. Dress up, and don’t be shy to dance if the mood strikes. After the show, head upstairs and catch more live music in the Ambassador Hotel’s lounge. A memorable, unique night you’ll remember for a long time!

Such a memorable evening! Lonnie is a Kansas City jazz titan! Lonnie’s Reno Club is inside of the Ambassador Hotel. The ambiance is spot on. The furniture is plush and comfortable. The service is outstanding. The food (3-course menu) is tasty - we had the beef wellington. And the music! Oh that was definitely the best part! Incredible show! Lonnie and his band take you on a jazz journey that honors the greats & celebrates KC. He tap dances too! Website’s pricing transparency needs improvement. We went on Sat, June 21. Cost $35 pp to reserve ticket plus tax & fees so $173.94 for 4 guests for the show & a welcome champagne cocktail. The dinner was $85 pp + 20% service charge, which goes to the staff. We had a $70 bottle of Pinot noir, but they do allow you to bring a bottle of wine for $25 corkage. Valet is available for $15, but we parked on the street right outside for $4.50 using ParkMobile. I thought the night was well-priced given the incredible show quality & great food and service. I was happy with the value for price paid. There’s an elevator that goes downstairs to the club - so ADA friendly. Bring cash to tip the band!
Fantastic night. Wonderful cocktails (old fashioned), delicious dinner (beef Wellington was amazing!), and great KC jazz. Grateful he walked through KC Jazz history!
