I’m a longtime customer of this shop and my latest experience at their new location tops them all. I came to Jess with a special project - turning a thrifted gown into a modern piece. I have an extreme hour glass and they went the extra mile to make this dress bespoke. Their 5 tailors each have 30+ years experience and bring their respective industry skills to the table. Jess's thoughtfulness is evident via her charm, capability, and character (CCC). I almost cracked up when Jess, the 3rd gen owner, said she offers candy for kids 13 and below, water for ages 13-60, and Lidocaine patches (that she purposefully refrigerates ahead of time) for ages 60 and up. AND she was NOT kidding. I said I wanted all 3 during my fitting for my trousers as a joke becuase I had back pain and just wanted a Fun Dip plus cold water on a hot day. Jess DELIVERED. Love this place! Jess is dead on when she does her call outs within the first 5 seconds of seeing you in the garment you wanna tailor. However, before she actually verbalizes anything, she asks “Do you want me to do call outs first or you say what you want tailored first?” It's the fact that she already knows what needs to be altered but allows you to speak your mind first that showcases how confidence. Her confidence comes from the fact that she is capable enough that she can address anything you say even if you speak first. And when she addressed you, she is transparent so you save money and/or do not overpay. Jess distinguishes between the "cause versus the symptom." Jess says the shoulders being too big can cause not only the shoulder area to be too big (symptom 1) but the waist as well as the extra fabric travels down from the shoulders to the bottom hem of the jacket on the side seams (symptom 2), so she will only charge you for shoulders and not the side seams. This is even when I already expected to pay for shoulder and side seams and was already hading her my deposit but she gave me some money back! Jess's thoughtfulness is evident via her CCC!

Jess took us in as an expedited appointment for my wedding gown. It was 3 fittings.  Jess and the entire shop took of their shoes plus vacuum every time I had a fitting and I think this gesture alone shows the respect they have for the craft and their customers!

Jess is such a kind and knowledgeable tailor. She provides very clear information to clients on what her team will do and why, and has even advised when I would be better off just purchasing a smaller size. Very honest tailor, couldn’t recommend more! Upfront with pricing at beginning of visit. Cash only.

My friend recommended Jess to me in the first place so I gave LNC tailor a try, it was great! Now all my Chanel and Dior goes to Jess only. Not because they are designer items, but because Jess is in it for the love of the craft and loves a challenge. She’s willing to take apart a vintage Dior blazer dress and go through every seam for a major tuck in at the waist. I’ve brought a lot of different garments to Jess, from jeans to silk shirts to jackets and dresses etc, I was never disappointed with the great work they do.

Very professional and good work. Helped tailor a vintage YSL 3 piece suit. Also very understanding when I was running late to pick up and were willing to help me after their closing hours. “I saw previous customer get 12 golf shirts tucked in at the waist and get the sleeves tapered. I thought stretchy and compression fabric was hard to work with before seeing the other customer’s shirts. After, I started bringing in all my running clothes so I can look good and do not have to deal with excess fabric on big shirts during my races, and it worked out wonderfully. They even merrow stitched (triangular stitching) a lot of hems before double stitching them (2 lines) so the hem does not become undone when I am moving or because the fabric is just very stretchy and that can lead to stretching/snaping the straight stiching. Happy and will happily recommend”

LNC Tailor has a storied reputation for high quality work at affordable prices. They have moved locations since I last visited and I am happy to report that the reputation holds strong. In addition, the customer service is 5 star. The new owner (granddaughter?) really goes the extra mile to assist in making your tailoring choices.
