LNC Tailor & Bespoke Shop est 1981

I took in 2 NYC Marathon ponchos to get turned into vests with zippers and pockets for my friend and me. My first fitting was measurements and discussing how I want the logo visible in the back of the vest and wider pockets. Jess brought me in for a second fitting like a true bespoke job when they had the sample half complete. 2 days later, the vests were 100% complete. Jess sourced the matching orange zippers and was very tenacious about choosing which shade of orange among multiple—she is in it for the love of the game. Can’t wait to actually wear this!

This was my first experience with getting clothes professionally tailored and I’m so glad I chose LNC. Jess and her team not only hemmed three pairs of my pants and fixed my dress button for a fair price, they also kept and returned my extra fabric scraps and my original button. Every step was carefully explained to me so I knew what to expect, down to the change in hem style for my pants. They’ve got a return customer in me for sure!

They tucked in the waist but it left some extra fabric in the seat and they were so proactive and called it out themselves and offered a same day redo on the spot. At first, I did not even notice but Jess pointed it out and offered the redo for free because she said she holds herself to a high standard. I was away on a trip for a few weeks but sure enough, I came in for the redo after my trip and as she promised, same day service. Jess said does not usually offer redos but she said she knows when she’s wrong and will admit it, apologize for it, and correct it right away. Huge respect!

I'll be honest … I seriously debated writing this review because I wanted to keep this spot to myself. But Jess deserves her flowers 🌺 I found her through instagram and was drawn to her story! She took over her family's tailoring business instead of letting it close, she chose to carry the legacy forward. That kind of commitment to craft and family is rare these days. It's exactly why I chose visiting LNC tailor over other shops. Jess is one of the most thoughtful and patient seamstresses I've ever worked with. She's a great listener, but she's also not afraid to push back when she has a better idea — and she's usually right. She's honest about what's possible and what isn't, which I respect more than someone who just tells you what you want to hear. She's tailored a blazer for me and rush ordered a wedding guest dress that I wore to a wedding Athens. A good tailoring is an additive to making you the most confident version of yourself. Genuinely, I was soo excited to wear this dress. Even after reading this review and you still choose not to visit this tailor shop, dont worry I'm already coming back with 3 more pieces!

Fantastic work and even better service! They performed a full tuck-in on a lined overcoat, tapered the sleeves and body for a cleaner fit, and shortened the bottom hem. The alterations were precise, and the fit is exactly what I wanted. Great craftsmanship, service, and fast turnaround. Highly recommend.

Came in with a custom suit from a store I won’t name and it was not only the wrong size but had a pattern issue. Jess took 45 mins to explain where everything went wrong and gave credit where it was due to the other store we must not name. At the end, my estimate was $480 and Jess actually encouraged me to contact the store who made my suit to have them make me a new suit instead of encouraging me to proceed with spending so much money tailoring at her shop. Honest, thorough, and very professional. They are awesome!!!! Super friendly and knowledgeable :)

I had an amazing experience here. I needed my Ganni jeans taken in 3.5 inches at the waist, and they reworked the entire top half of the pants while preserving the original design perfectly. They took the time to walk me through the process and explain exactly what they were doing, which I really appreciated. They were also very honest about what was and was not possible. The craftsmanship and care were exceptional and I would absolutely recommend them.

Jess literally can tell your size for a specific brand and dress style by just looking at you, which at the end, makes her lose money and you save money. I wanted to buy a Reformation dress size 2 and thought it was too big (because the sides bulged out) but in actuality it was too small and Jess said that before I even bought the dress because she tailored for me 1x and memorized my measurements. She said to return the size 2 and save money on tailoring plus get the size 4. Then she helped me order the size 4 and the bulging disappeared and I was still willing to pay money for alterations but Jess said they won’t be necessary even before looking and she was right once again. Her sharp eyes come from a love for the craft and also how much attention she pays to her customers.

100/10 stars if i could!! I have some sewing knowledge, so i generally know my way around what alterations should look like. But Jess's attention to detail to fit, finishes and overall style is unmatched. At other shops i'm usually left feeling like the handiwork is sloppy or rushed. Jess's sharp eye and her seamstresses caught every issue I noticed and flagged things I wouldn’t have thought to address, always with smart, thoughtful solutions. She listens closely, understands your frustrations, and delivers work that feels intentional, precise, and true to the spirit of the original piece. (for reference, i had 3 dresses altered). PLUS she had it all done within 48 hours. Included close up photos of the altered hems and seams of a bias cut dress, which is super tricky to deal with. I wouldn’t trust my clothes to anyone else. In fact, i texted my friend while i was leaving Jess's shop saying "i'm bringing her all my stuff" 😂
