Currently sitting in the lobby, 30 minutes after check in time. Room still is not ready. Mind you, I have platinum elite status. But we’re also on the tan side, so maybe that cancels it out. If you want to spend a lot of money to wait around, hoping you can get into your hotel room, this is the place for you! At least that dessert at Seneca was good (pictured)

You get what you pay for and the Intercontinental is excellent. Great food and service. The staff offers first class service and seem to enjoy helping guests. We will use this hotel every time we take a cruise, due to the accommodations, service and food, and for being a 5 minute walk to the cruise terminal. Also a great location very close to the Midway and downtown.

Maria at the reception when I arrived was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and informative. She gave me great recommendations about the hotel and places to visit in the city, which I really appreciated. I absolutely love my corner view room - it’s amazing. Such a wonderful stay so far!

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Intercontinental San Diego. The waterfront location is beautiful, and conveniently located across from the Amtrak station and the nearby airport. The facility is clean and modern, with comfortable rooms and amenities. As a frequent guest, I've been impressed with the food and beverage offerings. The staff are friendly and professional, and have been very responsive to suggestions received on guest surveys. I recommend this property and look forward to my next stay.

Can’t stress enough how incredible this hotel is, and how amazing the hotel staff is. I’ve traveled to several countries, many states, and stayed in hundreds of hotels (rip my bank account😅), and I’ve never experienced anything like this type of customer service. The first person I’d like to shoutout is Maria at the front desk. Even when there was a technical issue within the app that I couldn’t figure out, she was so patient and went above and beyond to help me. Next, huge shoutout to the breakfast staff (specifically Justin)! No matter how busy it got, they were so warm & welcoming throughout the entire duration of my stay. Moving onto the Vistal Restaurant + Bar, Michael and Ben were two of the best bartenders I’ve ever met. Not only were the drinks *chef’s kiss*, but they matched the energy of everyone around them and although I can only speak on my experience, they made me want to bring my friends back just for the good vibes, alone :) Huge thank you to the Intercontinental SD staff for making my experience so positive and special. Rest assured, not only will I be back soon, but I’ll be happily recommending this hotel to everyone I know!

Great luxury hotel near the waterfront and the village. Lots of fun things to do on property and nearby. Beautiful water views from the rooms and restaurants. Staff is great and there are plenty of Front desk staff for check-in and out. Get the IHG app to make the stay even more convenient.

Spectacular lobby and room views of San Diego bay. Safe. Easy walk to cruise terminal or Amtrak station. Overwhelmingly loved the indoor outdoor Seneca Trattoria Resturant on the top floor. 4th floor pool was not huge, but very modern and relaxing with harbor view. Outrageous parking fees.

They double charged my valet. So I used it for two nights and it was charged for four nights. They also charged for the water from the mini bar which I took out but I didn't drink. I took it out because the fridge in the room was so full of their water, Left me no room to put in my food. I also try to reheat my food by using a microwave but they charge 30 dollar for a microwave.

Other than the view this hotel sucks, I wouldn't come back here. This place left me so frustrated for instance they charge you $57 for parking which is not the end of the world, but their some of their staff don't even know how to activate it, making me waste my time trying to figure how to get out of the parking lot. The walls are so thin you could hear the music from other rooms. Don't get me started about the extra fees they try to charge without even mentioning it to you, for staff I already paid for! They don't even have netflix or Chromecast, which is very disappointing, I should have just stayed somewhere else. This is definitely a one and done for me, even if they offer me a free night, I rather spend my hard earn money somewhere else.

Don't stay here for Chase Sapphire benefits. Was supposed to get room upgrade, early check-in and daily breakfast for 2. I got a room downgrade, late check-in and for Chase Sapphire people you only get the continental breakfast with pastries, fruit, etc. You are not allowed to eat the real food! Horrible service all around too. Would not stay here again.
