Visit on Jan 2, 2024 Warm atmosphere inside with pleasant coffee, tried cream de pistachio and breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon and biscuit), both are tasty. Also purchased the coffee bean for home brewing
If you're looking for a hyper modern, third wave, vibrant coffee shop this is the place to go to. They have a vast selection of roasts to choose from and some that even start at $14 for 12oz which is quite hard to find these days for quality coffee. I ordered their Indonesian single origin espresso which was well balanced and a kimchi egg biscuit sandwich that was very delish. The seating wasn't that comfortable and felt a bit cramped but overall it was an enjoyable experience!
I used to come here a lot but stopped coming for the same reason I am reviewing with 2 stars today. The coffee is well made (they don't burn the milk or steam it too much) but tastes a bit bland and very milky in my opinion, I can hardly appreciate the espresso. Also, for some reason, every time I've been here with someone else, the staff always forgets my food order but not my friend’s. When I ask they say they're working on it but all of a sudden my order is given to someone else who was way behind me. I feel like it would be a good idea to implement a name/number system so staff stay organized and it's easier for customers to know what their order is. I always see people at the bar confused about their orders.
Delicious coffee and biscuits! I got the iced Honey Graham coffee and tomato+pesto biscuit. The coffee was the perfect amount of sweetness and the biscuit was very flavorful and filling. Staff are also very friendly! Not very spacious but they also have outdoor seating (but can often be hard given the current rainy weather). Overall a great spot!
First time came here for breakfast. We ordered mushroom/cheese empanada, chicken empanada, Marsala chai and coffee. Empanadas were good but it was a little cold. It would be better if it heated for longer time. Chai was great. Good place for breakfast!
delicious oat milk latte! at just under $6 for the medium (12 oz) it’s pretty standardly priced for this area of the city, considering the up charge for an alt milk. the perfect mix of warmth and earthiness for a post-run walk home. definitely recommend!
I first discovered Fulcrum single origin coffees at another coffee shop - all the beans I tried were interesting and rare: one from Bali and another from Yunnan. At this location I enjoyed a cup of the Goth Star, an Ube latte with coconut cream which tasted like cake, in a beautiful ceramic mug which added to the enjoyment. This wasn’t on any list of best coffee shops to get work done, but there were many laptops and it felt like a destination. The wifi is open and fast inside, but I preferred the outdoor seating which was like a lush oasis amidst the city. I’ll go back next time to try a pour over or espresso drink.
5/5 Cream of Pistachio Latte -- great pistachio flavor! Also texture was incredibly smooth compared to some grainier versions of this latte I've had elsewhere. Definitely would recommend!
Great coffee shop with a variety of delicious drinks, milk alternatives and food! The pesto artichoke and egg biscuit was amazing! Highly recommend if you’re downtown!
Love their modern and chic interior design. Good coffee with great service, and they also got power socket installed for almost every table, definitely a perfect place for working remotely!
