Top notch quality coffee! Service was great from the guy taking orders and a little less great by the barista. Worth the visit and beans to buy for home!! Absolutely delicious orange cardamom loaf!!
Nice space. Not the place for a quick coffee, despite the staff working quickly. My flat white was under extracted and watery. The empanadas took a good while to come out but were tasty.
For the cost and the hype this place really let me down. The espresso itself was pulled well, in that there was no evident channeling occurring nor was it evidently over extracted. However, the milk was poorly aerated and it was clear they made no effort to prepare the drink well. It wasn’t busy and it was mid morning so there was no reason for the drinks to be so carelessly prepared.
Ordered an iced chrysanthemum matcha, which is made with soy milk by default. Cool idea, poor execution. It tasted very similar to malt Vitasoy, so not bad, but not what I was expecting. Could hardly taste the matcha nor the chrysanthemum, only the soy and light sweetness. If they doubled or tripled the amount of matcha, it would probably be a decent iced soy matcha latte. Service was short and minimal, just a "12 or 16 oz?" and not a single other word as I ordered and picked up my drink. Pastries looked good (maybe from French guys bakery?), and ambiance is quite nice.
Simple and elegant nordic design is well matched by a selection of impressive coffee roasts. When I described the palette I prefer, the barista recommended a single origin closest to my preference and prepared a cup of enjoyable brew.
Amazing local coffee roaster. The Guatemala one blew my mind. Barista are skilled but not necessarily knowledgeable of all tasting notes... Pastry are not as good as the coffee. You can bring your dog (it's a dog cafe)
The space and coffee are gorgeous. I came for lunch and ordered the tumeric milk with granola. The latte was tasty and the mug have no handle. Holding the warm mug was like a self healing act, the weight had this coziness. What is that couch thing in the center or was it a dream? Is this what happens when the matriarchy takes over? I heard many doors lead to nirvana, you gotta find your own door, the door to this Fulcrum cafe might be one. Or maybe I entered a yuppie coma and need to snap out of it.
I can see why this place is rated the best coffee shop in Seattle. Phenomenal espresso and seasonal drinks, well balanced and unique. The chorizo empanada was very flavorful and well done. The interior design of the space is pleasant with plenty of wood tones, and blues. Nice touch with the Flos lighting. Only thing I'd change is, featuring niche artists art instead of the landscape mural, and some noise cancelling panels on the ceiling. Overall I'll definitely come back.
Got the pistachio cream latte, it was 8$ without the tip, but could barely taste the pistachio. Couldn’t taste a lot of the coffee either. Not sure if this was accidental. I’ve had pistachio lattes before and always loved the flavor of the pistachio over the coffee. Wouldn’t want to send 8$ giving this another shot
My favorite coffee shop in Seattle. The space is designed beautifully. The baristas are incredibly kind and friendly. The drinks are interesting, unique, and creative - beans are good too as well as the food selection. Snuggle Me Sesame and Cream of Pistachio for drinks - golden granola for food (vegan)
