I'm a simple man. On the occasional Thursday I enjoy purchasing a rotisserie chicken for $5.99, taking it home, and devouring inhuman amounts of it, barehanded, while my cat looks on in concern. Today my whole reality was shattered when that same bird was not only advertised at $8.99, but rang up at $9.99 and required a whole rigamarole to get it rung up at the advertised price. Fred (if that's even your real name) I implore you, please bring back $5.99 rotisserie chicken Thursdays.
I go to this store often and I'm always pleased with the availability of items. I haven't once tried to find something and the shelf was empty. The produce is fresh and looks nice. The meat dept is clean and has good variety. I ordered a custom cake from the bakery and it was done perfectly and tasted great.
I'm a regular. They changed a few years back to be more home delivery picker oriented layout. I'm pretty sure the variety dropped as well. This place does a lot of volume and is well stocked most days and times. Still not a fan of personal care products needing a separate in-store purchase....just a pain. I'm pretty loyal to FM, but we'll see. I've found the staff very friendly and helpful.
It's a nice place the aisles are spaced out great for disabled shopping there is plenty of disabled carts. Good variety of items. And the neighborhood is beautiful it was a nice little bike ride from my house. The employees are all very nice as well. my experience is enjoyable every time.
Sometimes you walk into a place just to grab a few things — and somehow, you end up leaving with a feeling that you’ve been home for a while 🏡. The store at 3030 NE Weidler St, Portland, OR is exactly that kind of place 🌲💫. It feels cozy in that true Portland way: warm lights, the smell of fresh bread 🥖 and coffee ☕, friendly folks who seem genuinely happy to help. Even simple errands turn into something peaceful — like part of a slow morning ritual under the gentle Oregon rain 🌧️. The shelves are neat and inviting, the air carries a quiet calm. You can find just about everything here — food 🍎🥑, clothes 👕, little home comforts 🕯️. There’s this harmony between the store and the city itself — that familiar Portland mix of kindness, craftsmanship, and simple comfort, as if nature itself dropped by to do some shopping 🌿✨. What I loved most is the atmosphere — calm, real, and homelike. People don’t rush; they smile, they chat like neighbors, not strangers 👫. Even the cashiers talk to you with that friendly Portland charm, a bit of humor and genuine warmth 💬😊. If coziness had an address — it would be right here ❤️.
Dude there is nothing open late anymore and every 5mins there intercom yelling at you that there's only 55 minutes remaining and if you're not standing in line once 10:00 p.m. hits then you don't get to buy anything in the store it's like shit dude and then they got a tip jar on the counter
I really need to bring back the paper bags with the handles. Yeah I know, I'm being a lazy slob by not bringing my own bags. Forgive me for I have sinned. But yeah, they really need to bring back the paper bags. And the whole receipt checking thing is really annoying. Like, I'm not trying to cut into the multi-billion-dollar profits of the almighty kroger. Let me just get my groceries and leave, and they better be inside of a paper bag that has a handle
Always a great experience, I can never just go in and out of this place, they have too many good deals !
Purchased this "brand new" air mattress today at the Hollywood Fred Meyers on Weidler and got it home to my apartment and decided to open it and check it out. I was a little confused when I couldn't find the carrying bag that the box said would be inside with the mattress; but was completely horrified when I went to unfold and unroll the mattress only to find a bunch of dirt and miscellaneous garbage items inside. Fred Meyers tried to sell this on their shelf as a brand new item, not even marked down; knowing it was clearly used and returned, but worst of all, they did not even inspect it before they reshelved it 🤢🤮 Definitely going to start driving the extra couple miles to go to a different Fred Meyers from now on.
Great place for me to just meander when I have a few minutes on a hot day. It certainly has everything I didn’t know I needed.
