Prices here are not low enough to match the poor shopping experience and meat quality. The meat department's wrapped product on styrofoam trays is almost always showing discoloration and spoilage -- various shades of pink to gray to green. Safeway and whole foods don't have this problem -- even winco is better. Exiting the store feels like a military border crossing. Rent-a-cops cosplaying as Navy seals guard the exits, the cosmetics department is more locked down than electronics, and 25% of the time I exit the store with a cart (after showing my papers to the border guard) a wheel locks clotheslining me over the handle. There is a giant parking lot, but most of the doors are locked in the evening, so one must park near the Broadway entrance.
Asked the person in self checkout to enter my birthday with my purchase of beer and they scanned it and refused to notget my ID out of the system. I have never trusted scanning identification. I don't think I need to be tracked for a simple purchase.
Beware of purchasing items that may have been returned because of a defect. I went in to return something with the receipt, because a part on it was faulty . The excuse they gave for not honoring their satisfaction guaranteed policy was they couldn't RESALE the item! This is extremely disturbing to me! I will definitely double check any item, if I ever shop here again, before purchasing. It's wild to me that a store would loose a customer like me over $60 but they didn't take the time to even look up my rewards phone number. So beware you've been warned.
The employees here have been extremely rude to me on more than one occasion for no discernable reason other than making the mistake of asking questions near the doors that are closed after 8 pm. Apparently when these doors close they've been authorized to abandon all propriety when it comes to dealing with customer inquiries concerning the machines located in the closed office vestibule. I had tried going up to the doors to see if there was indeed a kiosk for copying keys which earned me a stern rebuke and an employee telling me that the doors were locked. I told them that I understood this to be the case, I only wanted to look through the glass doors/windows to see if the kiosk that I was looking for was there. Or rather I would have if they hadn't interrupted me, again stating that the vestibule was closed. I got as far as, "So that means I can't even look through the glass to" when he began speaking over me again saying no I could not do such a thing. Fine, be rude for no reason other than to be rude. It was at this point that I exited the store, walked around the outside of the building to the other entrance, and looked inside from the exterior doors to find what I had been looking for. I could also see the employee who had been so rude to me, and when he saw me looking in I gave him the appropriate hand gesture to ensure that he knew that I thought he was number one in my book. This would be a one star review but I've really only ever had negative experiences whenever I've innocently gotten too close to the doors that close after 8pm. Otherwise, most everyone that works at this location has been extremely helpful when I've asked for any sort of assistance
It's a Fred Meyers, great store to have in your neighborhood. Slightly scruffier than some Fred Meyers, but that kind of goes with the neighborhood. I really like the One Stop shopping concept. Grocery store, tools, furniture, and clothes all in one spot.

This is a deceptively LARGE Fred Meyer. It had everything I needed, it was very clean, and the folks who worked there were nice
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Or at any Fred Meyers as a matter of fact. Every time I visit the store it’s worse than the last time. Pricing goes up monthly at this point. The quality of their products is horrible and gets worse as time goes on. You WILL get sick if you eat anything from the deli. They pull this scam where they label something as “Great Value” and it looks like a sale but it’s actually more expensive than it previously was. Don’t fall for it. Be on your guard here. They never restock their shelves so you they’ll be out of a product for weeks on end. They raise the price on their paper bags every month and the bags get smaller each time too or are less convenient to use (no handles) so they can scam you on their margins. They change the layout of the store once every few months for no reason and it makes your grocery trips 3 times as long. They’re employees are understaffed, underpaid, and over worked. Due to this I have very few friendly interactions with workers. Mostly just listen to them vent about their problems or get ignored completely. Believe it or not these are only a FEW of the issues. I could go on for a few more pages. You have to think really hard to find anything redeemable about Fred Meyers now a days. The Fred Meyers from the early 2010’s and 2000’s is very much dead. I would encourage everyone to stop shopping here and find alternatives such as Trader Joe’s, Target, and WINCO. It won’t change until people stop shopping. I’m officially boycotting and will never be returning.
Lots of selection, just about everything you need all in one spot. Garden center is a little slim right now with the seasons changing but lots of other seasonal goodies in the store for Halloween and Christmas. Great clothing selection that won't break the bank.
