Great local car rental agency. They do a good job and have good customer service. Anthony Harris is the manager and he does a great job too! This location will be moving temporarily in 2024 so they can build a high-rise office building on this property. Once construction is done they will move into the ground floor of the new construction

If I could give this location zero stars I would😡 I extended my contract with them and I was advised that I could not keep my midsize economy car due to the air bag being recalled. I asked them would my rate stay the same if they were to put me in a different vehicle and the guy said yes which was a lie a straight up lie 🤥 They put me in a Camry which is a full size car and were charging me the full size rate which is not what they were supposed to do because I was told by the guy that helped me that my rate would remain the same as the economy car. When I questioned them about why my weekly rates are so expensive they were like that's just the rate and Drew could not explain to me as to why my rates were so high for a economy car 🤔 I called the 800 number and they told me that I was paying for a full size car. This location did not tell me because they were trying to scam me and didn't think that I would catch on and research this myself. I was told several times that a manager from upper management would call me and it's been two weeks and I haven't heard a word from them yet. This location needs to be audited and everyone that works there needs to be fired. I wonder how many people they've done this to and what did they do with the extra money that they overcharged me for. What a bunch of crooks and con artists they are just a bunch of liars and thieves smdh🤦 I am currently suing Enterprise for this because they owe me over $1300 dollars.

My insurance company made a reservation at this location. I was told on the 8th of December that they had no cars available in the price range my insurance was paying and was told they will reach back out to me when something became available. After 3 weeks of speaking to no one I called myself and was told by an employee that other people needed to get their reservations before I did even though my insurance reserved a car for me three weeks prior. Then the branch manager told me that they had no cars available and that he would contact me the next day which he never did. I ended up picking up a vehicle at a different Enterprise location the very day that I called.

I was involved in a traffic collision in Charlotte during a holiday weekend and needed a car to return across the State to be at work on Monday. Another national franchise had told me the best they could do was Tuesday morning. Enterprise's national reservation service told me they could have me a car by 4:00 Sunday, but that I could call the local office which may be able to get me in a vehicle by 3:00. When I spoke to John at the Independence Blvd. office, he listened to my concerns and addressed them promptly and effectively. He had me in a car by 12:30, ready for my 4 hour drive.

We made a car reservation, and unfortunately our usual location didn’t have availability. However, they were kind enough to call us ahead of time and let us know. Then, my husband called this location to ask if they had anything available and they told him yes. When he got there, the workers were rude and told him they didn’t have anything available either. Even though he called ahead of time and got there within 20 minutes of calling. When he brought up the fact that he called ahead of time before coming over, they were rude and obviously didn’t care that they lied and wasted someone’s time and money (he got a lyft to get there). Wouldn’t ever recommend this location to anyone.

Had a reservation scheduled about a month in advance. When I went to the location that advise they have no cars for my reservation. Representative was not helpful did not try to accommodate me and finding a vehicle would not call any other branches. When asked why did not call to let me know his response was was basically saying we did not have time. I am beyond pissed for the lack of communication and customer service.

I rented from this location while my car was getting fixed after an accident. While the customer service was excellent, I did receive a dirty car and had to ask for it to be re-vacuumed because there was pet hair and dirt on the seats. It still wasn’t completely gone when I drove it off the lot but I was under a time crunch and didn’t have time for them to re-clean the car in its entirety. If it wasn’t for the cleanliness issue, I would give this location 5 stars!

NEVER Rent From This Location… just a word of warning to anyone considering renting from this Enterprise location in Charlotte, NC. This location is the most corrupt and unprofessional Enterprise location that I have ever rented a vehicle from. The first giveaway that this location was beyond incompetent and careless with the vehicles that they rent out, was during the inspection of the vehicle. When myself and the enterprise staff member inspected the vehicle, we noticed several major damages to the front and rear bumper, which the staff member notated. Not only that, but the inside of the vehicle had clearly not been cleaned or serviced since the previous renter. The vehicle smelled of cigarettes (which I am certain renters are not supposed to smoke in rentals), it was not vacuumed, and the gas tank was empty. The enterprise staff member even noted the empty gas tank and instructed me to bring it back on an empty tank as well. This just proved that the vehicle had not gone through a thorough inspection and/or cleaning after the previous renter had returned it, right before this Enterprise hurriedly rented the vehicle to me in haste. Included in the overall bumper damage, I later noticed that the previous renter had also damaged the underside of the front right side bumper. Since I had assumed this was a reputable Enterprise location, that would not lease a vehicle with so much damage to a customer, I figured they had already notated that damage long before myself or any other renter had taken the vehicle off the lot… that was not the case. When I returned the vehicle, the rude and unknowledgeable front desk staff member stated that she would have to file a damage claim due to the underside front bumper damage, even after I had vehemently stated that I had not caused the damage and even informed her of all the issues that were notated during the initial inspection. She stated that the claim would just be a claim to report the damage, but it would not mark me as at-fault or process with my insurance. Again, this unfortunately was not the case and further proved that this front desk associate was unknowledgeable of policies & procedures and untruthful to customers. This Enterprise filed a claim against my insurance carrier stating that I was at-fault for the bumper damage. The same bumper damage that had already occurred prior to me even renting the vehicle. I strongly implore anyone to NEVER rent a vehicle from the 1102 South Tryon St, Charlotte NC Enterprise location, if at all possible. I have rented from Enterprise for years and never experienced any issues until I unfortunately rented from this location. I could only provide a 1 Star Review because a deserved 0 Star Review was not an option. I really hope this review helps other renters stay away from this location, even if it only helps one other person avoid the horrible experience I had at this Charlotte Enterprise location.

Update: even more positive review, like an extra star. Thank you to this enterprise being like one of the few big name franchise locations or whatever that is actually ran right. I never have any issues and the staff is always friendly too - that Drew guy and the blonde guy who tries to get people's names right, and that curly hair chick - Like you guys have no idea how much this place where I just go to rent a car for work is like the one consistently good thing in my life that I can count on going right. You never know an impact of a job well done until someone says so, so here it is. Thanks again and keep it up. I've been renting from this Enterprise almost weekly for business needs for a few months now, and the customer service just keeps getting better. They resolved some inventory issues I had faced, but I realized that was probably due to the season. Now every time I go into pick up or drop off the car I'm in and out in like 5 minutes. It's amazing really.

Enterprise Uptown Charlotte is the absolute best. In particular, Jacob is an exceptional young man. He remembers my name and treats me as a friend. He values my time and always sees to it that I am able to get in and out in the quickest amount of time. When I rent from Enterprise Uptown it feels more like I am borrowing a car from a friend thanks to their customer service and never experiencing a hassle. I rent and will continue to rent from Enterprise Uptown at least once a month. No other company's "special deal" could ever compete with the trusted I service I receive at Enterprise Uptown.
