ACME Markets

I ran in to get a eye round, shrimp, and 2 peppers. Just 3 items. The line at self checkout had at least 40 people in it. The line with a cashier had had about 15 people in line. I got on line but after 20 minutes and only getting slightly closer to checkout, I just put my items back and left. Hopefully they can improve checkout.

we have been parking our car in the acme garage for less than half a year and had to take it to get repaired due to rodent damage in the engine. please beware of the rodent issues that this building has when parking and buying food.

I love these by tastycake, they are limited editions comes out every year but at various times sometimes winter sometimes spring. When they are available it’s like people are stocking up , they are honestly fantastic!

Every time I come in this place they have entire shelves and fridges EMPTY but boxes that need to be unloaded in every aisle. Last night I could not even get everything I came in there for because there was so much blocking me. The stuff that I could see that I needed, I had to literally climb over and move stuff out of the way to get to. There were men working, no one offered to help me get to what I needed. Hot mess. Why are yall restocking the store when it’s still open? At all hours. Like not a little cart refilling a shelf… here’s a quick video of what I mean. I absolutely hate having to come into this particular Acme.

This Acme is…well if you’ve been then you know LOL. It’s always insanely busy. No matter what time you go it’s always packed and there’s always herds of people. I get why, it’s in a busy area and nearby two colleges so it’s bound to be crowded but omg!!!! Also very expensive but again, makes sense being in a college student area. It’s fine for grabbing a few things, but wouldn’t recommend it for your regular grocery store. The Acme on Passyunk is the best

I went to Acme this Valentine’s Day and met Patricia, the spearhead of the operation. It was pure chaos—men making demands, having no clue what to get for the most special people in their lives. But Patricia, with her quick thinking and passion for the game, handled it all with precision and care. I loved watching her apply passion to her craft! It was spectacular to b apart of. She helped me put together my first personal bouquet and made some fantastic recommendations that added much-needed flair to my otherwise drab selections. Her knowledge transformed simple flowers into something truly meaningful. As you can see from the photos, my gf loved them!! I also want to shout out another amazing woman, Keshia (apologies if I spelled that wrong), who was in charge of quick cleanups and angling the bouquets so Patricia could work her magic lol. Despite the madness, the atmosphere remained upbeat—Patricia handles stress like it was nothing, and I appreciated seeing and being apart of that. I give the Acme flower arrangers a 100/10 and can’t wait to come back for another bouquet for the love of my life! I hope they were given their own flowers from the ACME admin team!!

The worst Acme in Philly. Nothing in the fresh produce section looks good. A lot of the vegetables are rotten. I barely can find what I need. I only go in the because I'm in the area.

Worst place to park and their parking is too expensive apart from a young woman who looks like the manager a young blonde who has the worst attitude ever seen there and it’s not a one-time thing and not just with me that woman and a hungry dog in attitude are the same they should take action on the matter

I was denied entry by security guards at 10:45 PM, despite repeatedly explaining I needed to buy baby formula for my daughter. The store's posted hours state it is open until 11:00 PM. Very disappointed in ACME.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at approximately 7:45 PM, I had one of the most disrespectful, embarrassing, and racially motivated experiences I’ve ever encountered — and it happened right at the ACME self-checkout. I was checking out my groceries like everyone else when the self-checkout attendant — the man who’s supposed to be there to assist, not accuse — looked at my bag and said, “Oh, you don’t want the stuff in your bag,” with a tone that clearly implied I was trying to steal. What he was referring to? Items I had just purchased from another store in Chinatown. Receipts and all. Let me make something very clear: I am a student nurse, and while I spend my time learning how to care for others with dignity, empathy, and professionalism, I was met with the exact opposite from your employee. It was humiliating to be publicly accused of wrongdoing for simply existing with a shopping bag. As a Black woman, this experience felt deeply racially charged, and quite frankly, I expected better. I’ve dedicated my life to helping people in their most vulnerable moments — and this man decided to treat me like a criminal over nothing. The irony? While I’m in school learning to save lives, your staff can’t even manage to treat people like human beings at the register. I took photos of him and will be escalating this to ACME corporate, because this incident should not go unnoticed or unaddressed. Your staff need real training in bias awareness, professionalism, and basic customer service — especially if they’re going to interact with the public.
