They were quick to fill my order and were able to accommodate me when I couldn't find parking and had to turn my drive up into a pick up. Also grabbed some things I neglected to order and swore I was going to be in line for a good bit but mannnn as fast as the lady behind me complained the seconded she walked up behind me in the self check out line and then walked off and boom next reg open, a cashier called down next with card only then before that customer even got to her she called for next customer all payments on the reg next to her and then boom I was up at self check out and out of there quicker then I could believe. Also was helped quickly at customer service and while waiting for my order I was asked by another employee if I needed help too. This acme rocks (:

New standing at the seafood counter for about 10 mins. I walk off to go alert someone that I needed assistance, they said they’ll page someone. Back here 4 mins later still no assistance. Everyone here is rude as if they didn’t apply to work here. It’s not fair to customers we have to deal with these attitudes and still spend our money at this establishment.

WARNING: RODENT FECES & FOOD POISONING This store was condemned in 2022 by the Philadelphia health department, after rodent droppings were discovered throughout the store and several customers were hospitalized with food poisoning. Somehow it is still operating without a license. If you like consuming rodent droppings, waiting in a 40+ person line for a single self-checkout machine, and have aggressive panhandlers shout at you inches away from your face (before you even exit the building!) - ACME on Walnut street is the store for you. This store quickly disintegrated after the corporate managers brought in to shepard its opening departed. It will likely only operate until it's current lease expires. At that point, ownership will eat the loss and a new dysfunctional grocery store will launch at this same location.

It was after 12 noon and I expected for the delicatessen to be opened but obviously it was not. No one asked me if I needed help or if they could help me. That section was completely empty. I won't be visiting this location again unfortunately.

I went on Wednesday to buy some chicken and I saw the game day bucket. The sign states that I can get chicken tenders or wings. I decided that I wanted to get wings. I was told by the gentleman that it is only chicken tenders. I told him that's not what the sign says it clearly states chicken tenders or wings. He said no it's only chicken tenders. So I ended up getting the game day bucket with tenders. But if it's only chicken tenders that come with the bucket then why does the sign clearly state wings? It's misleading and absolutely ridiculous that they won't honor what their advertising!

Possibly the most disorganized checkout experience ever. Buying a six pack of beer is a literal thirty minute operation. Bring a book!

Definitely not my favorite Acme location to visit for many reasons - the main doors off 40th Street are not obvious, the vestibule is crammed and tiny, always panhandling and sketchy people hanging around outside the doors and sometimes in the vestibule. The store is small, the aisles are very narrow, too much floorspace is dedicated to liquor. Average selection of shelf stable foods, fairly large deli and quick serve prepared foods available. Meat section is limited and nor always well stocked. The store is pricey, beverages outside of water are preposterously expensive, one to three dollars more than grocery stores elsewhere. Checkout is a nightmare, always slow, always long lines.

Very good selection of food and also wine and other alcohol. I love this Acme!

Here it's always touch and go. Always packed with staff restocking and as such most of the time blocking the customer's way of getting around - there is other ways of doingi it and still doing your job. Prices are quite high compared to some other alternatives in the neighborhood, but still overall much better than the old, smelly, 'ratty' Fresh Grocer!

Store has had health hazards, mostly rats, well documented online, but offers quality products at low prices. The staff can be hit or miss, but they're generally willing to help. Bring your own bags.
