The shopping carts are all locked. Ample parking if you drive. Prices were reasonable, but more expensive than local Asian markets or the Italian market.
Every item here is 3 dollars more expensive than other stores, even whole foods. The produce department layout makes zero sense and is incredibly confusing. Its nice that there's a store within walking distance but it's so insanely expensive for a dumpy supermarket chain.
Horrible customers services. I waited over 25 minutes until I was helped. Acme need to hire a helper. Wasting customers time waiting here.
We like shopping here, it's stocked well and always organized. The liquor store is convenient too. The prices seem higher than the other food stores where we also shop. But they do have weekly specials.
They recently started stocking shelves with empty boxes of toothpaste with labels to go to the cigarette counter if you actually want to buy toothpaste. Another essential household product locked away for no reason. Unreal
got a box of pokemon cards from the machine inside of this acme and the security guard harassed me because i refused to sell them to him. throwing his arms up in the air and calling me names to his other co workers. i asked him to please stop soliciting the customers and he flipped out. there’s already so many other customers complaining about this guy. i don’t understand how he hasn’t been fired at this point, he is soliciting the customers and becoming really aggressive. he is making customers feel uncomfortable to shop here.
They label their bread with "Packed on" date, but they don't teel you when it's baked. So you buy it on the date it was packed, you come home, and the bread is frozen in the middle. And don't get me started about how bad their produce is.
It's a nice clean environment with plenty of alcohol beverages, but there is no beer garden
If i could give you a ZERO STAR I WOULD First off yesterday as were ready to check out at the register the cashier is dancing recording and exercising & he doesn't acknowledged us nor help to bagged at all and charges us almost $200 for 29 small items. As we were on our way home my partner reads the receipt and we notice a SINGLE charge of $97.99 . When i called the Acme spoke with Marie about this charge she casually says oh the cashier put a nine in front of the 7.99 (Rotisserie chicken) never apologized for anything just casually proceeds to says he should’ve never charge you $7.99 on the food stamps should’ve been cash. She told us to return and the money will be put back on the card. We returned to store to get this resolve. Mark was super unprofessional and rude. Never told us that the money cannot be processed he automatically put it in a gift card. When I asked why is it in a gift card? since we normally don’t shop at acme due to distance he just rolled his eyes and said thats all he can do.THIS CARD CAN ONLY BE USED AT ACME AND SELECTED STORES WHICH WE NEVER HEARD OF Once again not realizing the inconvenience of this mistake nor apologizing. Marie as a manager never acknowledged us she instead hid behind the registered and only spoke to mark no empathy whats so ever if you ever need any management help you’re basically screwed because these individual don’t care about you as an individual or customer. PLEASE DONT SHOP AT THIS ACME YOU WILL REGRET YOU’RE EXPERIENCE.
RE Acme Passyunk While we do shop at Acme , this is not about the product , food , service etc. It's about the kindness of the employees that work there, over and above their work. and while this is a longer story, in short , our dog- a recent rescue- got loose and made her way to the Acme parking lot and woudn't come out from under a car. Several tried and weall tried for along time to coax her out. No success. Soon several employees came out with cantalope , watermelon and lots of kindness and patience. Coincedentally, it one their cars she was under. With their help we eventually got her out and without their help ......................who knows, but that doesn't matter because they did help and all ended well !! So while I don't know who you are were thanks so much we will never forget you all.
