Usually pretty picked over. When you find good deals the prices aren't bad. Great employees and plenty of parking if you need that. All in all the best grocery store in the area for sure.
The store was pretty nice and organized however I had to use the restroom. Attn: Management, please move your attention too the ladies room. There's no reason for such filth. Thank you. Sincerely, Patrons
Serious produce problems. I can't buy berries here because half the time they are moldy, and if not they're still not very fresh. I've seen produce with visible, obvious mold still on the shelves for sale, especially the organic section. Tomatoes are old and wrinkly, kale is half withered, and I got a spaghetti squash which had the seeds already sprouting inside. I just bought two Anaheim peppers and there were insects and insect eggs inside, and celery that had mold inside the stalks. It's much farther and more expensive to go to Whole Foods but with the amount of rotten and moldy produce at Acme I'm not even going to try anymore. Their coffee grinder is also broken most of the time. I've complained in the store and they've had it serviced (poorly) and it just breaks again. They need a new one or a more reputable repair service. I wish this store was better. It's so close that I would buy all my groceries here if this only happened occasionally.
Great store and everything but something is seriously wrong with the gallons of REFRESHE spring water being sold at this particular location, they ALWAYS taste like they were stored out in the sun for 3-4 months and taste absolutely putrid, as if the plastic has melted into the water. Just vile, really needs to be taken off the shelf ASAP. I purchase the REFRESHE gallons regularly from the 5th street & Oregon locations and there's never an issue. it took me awhile to catch on as I always have the gallons laying around often times purchased from multiple locations but I can say with certainly now that the issue is only at this location.
I like this store. Not overwhelming. Easy to find what you need. But I bought THEIR BRAND OF WATER IN A GALLON.. I should have none it would taste like SWAMP WATER. TITLE it only said drinking water no it is not forgive typo
Sold expired yogurt dirty store go elsewhere Update: they didn't refund me or take any accountability with the call. They expect you to have an account
I stopped in at 6:30 last night and they already had the front entrance blocked off. Why!? Me and everyone else going in had to go in through the register lines in the wrong direction, getting in the way of people trying to checkout. Do you not want me to come in? In that case, just close. Sprouts and Target have most of what I need, and as soon as the Giant opens I'll never need to step foot in this place again.
Very convenient location but slow up front to check out. The staff here are friendly and helpful but the lines move slowly and tend to be long. This ACME is always busy when I visit. The aisles are decently organized and I can find some of the specialty things I need here (food allergy products) but they can be pricey compared to a standard version. Produce is decent, but can be more expensive than other local grocers. Overall the convenient location and friendly staff (I've had some great cashiers here) makes this ACME a regular place for me to visit.
Produce is terrible. They price gouge wherever possible. they run out of staples and theyre slow to restock. I have to order milk from shoprite through instacart because this Acme only stocks one row of lactaid. It sells out almost immediately. I asked the "dairy manager" why purchasing lactaid milk is so difficult at his store...he looked at me like I was an alien. I dont think he's aware that he works in a grocery store ....never mind that he's the top dairy man on the premises. Smh They stopped providing plastic bags to "save the environment"...so you'll have to buy bags. You're shopping in their overpriced store but they just can't find a way to provide bags that cost a few pennies each. Its just not in the budget lol...The owners of this store are revolting. I cant fathom their level of greed. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST SUPERMARKET IVE EVER BEEN TO. Thanks for reading. sorry about the caps
A frizzy haired old lady who works there shouted at me for making a mistake I was unaware of who got pissy when I responded to being shouted at by a stranger. No customer service ability at all, when she easily could have privately mentioned my mistake. I would like to thank her for recommending I shop elsewhere, as I had not done my weekly shop yet, and will definitely be doing so elsewhere.
