While the experience of living here as a tenant was generally decent, after we moved out we were owed a significant sum of money. Management told us we would receive the payment in November. It is now late January, and despite MONTHS of repeated emails and phone calls, we still have not received it. Based on our experience, if this property owes you money after move-out, be prepared for a long and frustrating process to get it returned. ------------ Response to comment: To clarify, the larger balance owed after move-out has not been received. The small sum, yes. As of 1/26/25, we have not received payment by check, ACH, or mail, and we have not been provided with a check number, transaction ID, or deposit confirmation. We have been directed back and forth between the Receivables and Accounts teams for several months without resolution.

Love this apartment building! Terrible management staff. Completely rude and incompetent. I have put in multiple work orders and no response even though app or email so instead I have to make sure I go directly to the office. BUT they are usually closed for "training" which is FALSE. They are closed because they are so far behind on their work. Greystar needs to find a new building manager who hopefully wants to actually run this building instead of collecting a pay check. Maybe then I can have hot water in my shower in the morning or get a giant hole fixed in my laundry room.

We had an excellent experience from the tour to the application process and all the way through the move in. Katherine and Mujeeb always provided timely and accurate information, with a friendly attitude. Both were welcoming, accommodating, and helpful!

My boyfriend and I lived here for almost 2 years now and our experience with WestEdge management is bad. Overall, they just ignore, blame, and promise. One time we complained about noises coming from the 39th floor (gym & community amenities). They ignored us for weeks until we came in person to talk to them. They promised to make some actions about the matter but nothing had changed. We talked to people living on the penthouses on the 38th floor and figured that they also had the same issues and that they complained many times but nothing was done. Another thing is package delivery. One time our package got delivered to a wrong floor/unit and we asked if they know which floor the delivery guy went to. They promised to look for the package for us, but we got no update after a few days. We emailed them and they blamed Fetch, "our resident was adamant that it was delivered by fetch specifically", which was wrong because it was not delivered by Fetch and we never mentioned Fetch to them. By the way Fetch is also pretty bad. There have also been other incidents where they were being unprofessional, passive aggressive, and fake towards their residents. Also, trash keeps building up and the trash rooms smell really bad. We've always been patient since they kept changing staff. But it's been so long and after who knows how many times they've changed their team, they haven't improved at all. Not worth the money!

Update Oct ‘22: So Nice, We Tried It Thrice! Let’s face it, change is good… After residing at West Edge for two years, ingratiating our family into the welcoming community and enjoying the luxurious amenities offered, we opted to renew our lease for an additional year. For most, the story ends there, however I would like to provide a bit of backstory… With our contract soon expiring (on a whim) we contacted the leasing office and were offered a “transfer option” to a unit that features breathtaking northwestern views. From the moment that we stepped into the office, Mmumjeeb began our journey with the utmost professionalism in an effort to maintain our business. Next, Savannah provided behind the scenes industry knowledge, within the hour email responses and a level of congeniality sprinkled with hospitality that rivals resort style living. In less than 7 days, the new lease was signed and we had FOBs in hand! Her fresh, process improvement perspective is the perfect coalesce with a military family that values privacy, proactiveness and accountability. Lastly, the community partnerships established post-pandemic era have been electrifying! Offering reduced child care rates at Pike Market Child Care & Preschool for residents, in addition to a host of local promotions yields an invaluable living experience for all.

Tai made considering moving back to the big city an easier thought with his kindness and candor about the Seattle renting scene. His knowledge about the city and property were much appreciated! I'm surprised to see some negative reviews about engaging with staff at this building, Tai's positive attitude would help turn any of these experiences around :)

My time with West Edge can be characterized as disappointment after disappointment throughout my stay. From the scares of whether or not my package will arrive because of Fetch, to trying to confront Greystar about an inaccurate move out fee which happens to be my current situation right now. Oh, and I just found out that if the cleaning company puts anything on their invoice, it is automatically considered “validated” by Greystar. So if you are moving out, don’t bother cleaning. That extra cleaning fee will be validated whether or not you do anything. Moving on, most of the staff does not want to be there, the parking situation (at least when I lived there) was a mess. It was recommended you don’t drive your car because your spot that you pay $300 a month for (probably more than that now) could get taken and it would take at least a week before they could take action. That is not an exaggeration. Also, make sure your work has a shower because you can expect your water to be out quite a bit without receiving any sort of compensation from Greystar. I know I’m missing a lot of other smaller things but in conclusion, I would recommend trying to live somewhere else. Maybe Via locates in Belltown (way less sketchy) or even Harbor Steps which is way cheaper with service that is probably just as bad. Thanks! Edit: it should also be mentioned that I was paying over $2500 (with parking) for a one bed one bath on the very bottom floor, which would be raised to $2600 (WITHOUT PARKING) at the end of my lease. If you are looking at West Edge for a potential place to reside please listen to me. You can do way better. You are paying a premium for a view and sometimes not even that.

Outside of Jake from maintenance, west edge was one of the worst high end buildings I have ever lived in. The level of professionalism is definitely why I moved out. Kate the manager is horrible with availability and communication even through hours are 9 to 6 ( tried over 5 times during move out before 5pm, she was never in the office) and the staff is so young they never experienced high end customer service in their life. Ordering packages through a time of a pandemic was the most frustrating and I have lost hundreds of dollars, the staff takes no actions to resolve or get your money back. they expect you to chase every order. I have watch the front desk ignore calls and asked "are you going to get that". food deliveries are definitely a problem after spending extra $10 in fees. Trash continuously builds and smells in the halls. Homeless is an extremely problem if you have a dog walking your dog is not worth the risk most days. Definitely a building where you're lifestyle is altered and you eat all the cost.

Recently moved in and am very happy I chose West-Edge. First of all, the location cannot be beat. You are one block away from Pike Place Market. I walk over every day to pick up fish and vegetables for dinner. Secondly, the views from the building are beautiful. As I write this review, I am watching the Bainbridge Ferry dock, and I have seagulls flying by just outside my window. Third, the amenities are great. The gym is on the 39th floor, so you can run while looking at the water. The lounges are quiet and clean. Our dog loves the pet area - they do a fantastic job of keeping it clean. Lastly, Isabel, Savannah, Naasra, Davonte, and the other staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I received a utilities bill of ~900 dollars for one month when I moved out of my 2b2b, which is 6× of average monthly charges. There are other issues with my move out charges like one day additional prorated rent despite moving out on my lease end date. Greystar is just trying to defraud their ex-residents by such scams. I would never rent a Greystar property again. My earlier luxury apartment experience was so much better with Avalon in terms of quality of the building/management responsiveness/maintainence etc. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Greystar
