West Edge Apartments

Mujeeb, Katherine, and TY were amazing hosts on my tour of the property. I was so impressed with the amenities West Edge has to offer from the view on the rooftop, library, gym, to most importantly my new home. Thank you for the amazing customer service and I look forward to being apart of this community.

I had an amazing experience working with Sequoia and her team! They were very helpful and attentive throughout the process of moving into my new apartment. They answered all of my questions and made sure everything was taken care of timely. I couldn't be happier with their service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new place to call home!

Incompetent management ruins this beautiful building. If you’re willing to pay >$2500/month for a one bedroom, spend it somewhere else so you don’t have to deal with the poor management here. Seriously, I used to live in cheaper apartment complexes but their management was far better than what I got here at WestEdge. From handling packages to dealing with maintenance requests, they are just not responsive and keep promising. Recently I went to talk to a lady the leasing office about my maintenance request, she was so unprofessional and blamed everything else but their poor management. The apartments are not soundproof at all. I can hear my neighbors talking and laughing all day. The only positive thing is probably some nice concierge people and security guys.

I spent 2 very nice years at West Edge, but I had to move out almost 2 months ago. On top of the very high base "cleaning fees", they have still not given back my security deposit. I was given a statement and nothing else. I was told by Joshua that my security deposit was on its way the first month. When enough time had passed, I complained and he said a new one would be sent. Today, after asking what is going on again, I was told my "renewal contract" has been sent to my Active Building Portal. What??? Update: Provided address a second time, supposedly a second check was cut weeks ago, nothing has arrived, no explanation by West Edge.

As (possibly) the longest resident at West Edge, I feel I can provide a credible review! I've had a wonderful overall experience living here for the last few years. Highlights: 1. Location. Location. Location. You're right in the heart of the city - next to Pike Place Market, Westlake Center, 2 light rail stops, Target, numerous shops, bars, restaurants and transit. It's so easy to get to Belltown, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square or even West Seattle. Just as easy to jump on I-5 North/South Bound. 3rd Ave where all buses stop is just behind us. There's convenience stores, entertainment options, accessibility and people. My doctor and dentist are right up the street. This is really the appeal of downtown living and West Edge is centrally positioned to take good advantage of all of that. 2. Floor Plans and Units. After having toured most downtown high rises, I find the floor plans and finishes at the West Edge most appealing. They are spacious (important), thoughtfully designed and aesthetic. All the appliances are sleek and function reliably. Additionally, the West Edge has decent views from most units because we aren't right up against other high rises. 3. Amenities. We have a great rooftop with a superb 360 view (Puget Sound, downtown, Rainier, Cascades, Olympics), a nice gym and additional community spaces to socialize/hang out in/take your pet out. You should really see your value proposition as your apartment (primarily) + access to these spaces when needed. 4. Services. Paying rent is easy. Maintenance requests are promptly fulfilled. The parking situation is good. The elevators function reliably. The mail and packages systems are all well set up. Concierge is able to assist with most standard requests such as quick print outs, holding keys, letting guests up. 5. Special shout out to Savannah Barr (the leasing manager), Isabel and all the other staff. I have gotten to know them well over the years and not only have they been incredibly helpful, kind and made me feel at home (and like I'm part of a community), they have always gone above and beyond to help me whether during lease renewals or simply greeting me, asking me about my days and promptly following up on any special requests.

Since I moved here I have had a great experience. My wife as well, the service supervisor Gave has always been extremely helpful and always getting residents when passing by and making time to answer questions. Those are the details that matter living somewhere! John and Isabel are just as helpful and welcoming. The property itself has so many plusses!!! Amenities, layout. Exterior look. This is the place to be. 🙏

Individual Apartments: 5 The quality is very good. They are well insulated for both temperature and sound, despite being on one of the busiest intersections in the city. The appliances are modern, work well and maintenance is happy to help with anything. Not much built-in lighting, but floor-to-ceiling windows let in some natural light. Common Areas: 3 The top floor and lobby are always clean and the view from the roof is excellent. Parking lot is pretty much what you'd expect. Trash chutes are often backed up and residents have to leave trash inside the room. There's only so much that can be done about this if the trash compacter is broken or residents are incorrectly disposing of waste. At least it is contained inside the room and once the jam is resolved management sends employees to clear the rooms as well. Community: 5 It's clear that management is putting a lot of effort into cultivating a community in the building. There are often social events planned to meet others and have some fun together. Big shout-out to both Isabel and Sequoia for their events like the dog caricature event and Halloween party. Those were both really well organized and lively! Thanks! Location: 3 Right in the middle of Downtown, so it comes with the benefits and drawbacks of most urban areas. Very walkable, plenty of public transit and it is right next to Pike Place and the Waterfront. However this also makes it louder than other areas and its proximity to 3rd & Pike means taking safety into consideration. This category is mostly personal preference.

West Edge has extremely sub par services compared to any other apartment provider i have ever seen. The management is extremely inflexible and will show zero interest in providing help. I was moving out and because of pride parade, the movers and packers could not reach on time. West Edge neither allowed us to use docking elevator beyond 6pm nor did they allow us to use the front door! Whereas the other luxury apartment we were moving to allowed both. Please don’t waste your money and move to West Edge. One of the biggest mistake was to move here

Five years in and we have to give this wonderful smack-in-the-middle of everything apartment community a top drawer score. Isabel running concierge, Ty handling the front office. Rian always keeping the lease and amenities up to date and Josh leading the outstanding maintenance team, Allstars all. The low resident turnover is delightful and you really feel a sense of community here. All areas of the building definitely pass the "white glove of cleanliness" test. Drop onto the panoramic rooftop and soak in the Olympic, Cascade, City and Elliott Bay views by one of the fireplaces and you might forget to go back to your apartment. We'll definitely be renewing again!

We just moved into West Edge this month and we’ve been pleased with the entire experience. Starting with our tour with Mujeeb to the point of getting everything sorted during and after the move, it has been a very convenient and seamless transition. The team continues to help promptly with any questions that come up and the entire process is thoroughly organized. The updater app also helps a ton in keeping you stay mindful of the moving checklist.
