My husband and I are celebrating our 20 year anniversary in town and I wasn’t sure where to go. The Capital Grill had the widest selection (and honestly, the items were just overall more appealing). I booked the seating around 2pm and by great odds there was a 630p spot. The online booking option was so easy. There is a warning that the place had somewhat of a dress code which caused me a little anxiety, but when I arrived I was probably one of the most dressed-up! :) I would say you’re food if you were dressed in casual Sunday attire. The team was amazing! Table service was on point; your cup never ran low. The cocktails were the best I’ve had this trip. The food was truly delectable, and I’m not over exaggerating! We will be making one more trip here before we leave Seattle because the food was well worth the menu prices.
Really nice place 💕 The atmosphere feels classy and perfect for a special dinner. The steak and seafood were cooked really well and tasted fresh, and everything felt high quality. The staff was very attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but worth it for a proper fine dining experience ✨
Really Good Food!! Just wish the Entrée came with a side. Kinda feels like nickle and diming! Lamb chops cost $73.00 no starch no vegetables. They all come separately.
My husband and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and his birthday here. It was top notch service. Our server Matthew was amazing! He made our last night in Seattle an experience worth remembering. The staff was all attentive and we appreciate the small details they did for us for our anniversary. The food was also delicious and they can customize your order. When we return to Seattle we’ll make sure to stop by again for a great dinner experience and ask for Matthew!
Everything was amazing. The icing on the cake was our server Antonio F. So informative of the menu and all of the dishes and wines. Very witty too! The portions were worth every penny! Whew!
Capital Grille in Seattle is a classic upscale steakhouse downtown. The atmosphere is polished and elegant, with dark wood, white tablecloths and a very professional, attentive service style. The steaks are the main draw - well-aged, cooked precisely and consistently high quality. Sides like mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and lobster accompaniments round out a rich, indulgent menu. The wine list is extensive and everything feels carefully curated for a fine dining experience. Overall: one of Seattle’s most reliable high-end steakhouses with excellent execution.
For us this was a classic American steak house! We went for my partners 40th and they were so amazing as they left him a card and gave a dessert on the house! The porterhouse steak was spot on. The mac and cheese was delicious. The wine was a great choice by the som and the waiter was super friendly. A great meal!
I have been to fine dining restaurants where I feel like why did I even come here? So not worth the price. Capital Grille is 100 percent worth it! It’s a top notch restaurant from beginning to end. The staff treat you like a truly valued guest, and the food is exquisite. Starting with a basket of different breads, each its own masterpiece. Then oysters rockefeller with enormous tender oysters. Steaks cooked to perfection that instantly melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned salmon, and divine crispy Parmesan truffle fries. Utter perfection.
Hands down for the food here! Amazing steaks cook to perfection, the staff incredible, super friendly the atmosphere very classy!
Last night I celebrated my birthday downtown Seattle with Capital Grille. This experience was a bit far from any other experiences I’ve had with any other Capital Grille. As my husband and I sat down and was greeted by our server Rod after a long ponder on my experience as I can best describe it felt like we immediately became bait. We were greeted politely and asked if we wanted any alcoholic beverages for the night and we informed our server that we needed time to look over the drink menu. As time passed by and he returned we politely declined to the drinks from there we were constantly asked if we wanted to essentially be upsold on any thing possible on the menu and we declined. As returning customers we knew exactly what we wanted and we ordered just that. As I understand the restaurant/food business in the United States I know that the server’s tip is based generally on a percentage of the total of the bill which is fine and the more they are able to upsell and persuade the customer to order the larger their potential tip amount can be which is fine. As a returning customer that has dined at Capital Grille in other cities I can ensure you on any special day or occasion they will without a doubt acknowledge and be grateful to have you there to celebrate your special day with them. Not once last night did the server wish me a happy birthday or even insinuate a potential Father’s Day celebration just nothing . To continue the night I ordered lamb chops over medium on the pink side as usual and as I began to eat I noticed my lamb had not quite reached temperature as it was still rare inside. I informed our server and he asked me what I wanted to do and he took my plate back and had the issue rectified (out of his control) and had the lamb brought out cooked to temperature and had an additional side to make up for lost time. I would like to pause for a second to highlight the host or the appropriate party as they did the upmost job with displaying respect of my special day with a large display of ballon’s, card, and flowers that my husband provided to celebrate my special day but not once through the night did I hear any birthday wishes to myself or my husband. To conclude the night we were given the dessert menu and after having such sour experience with the server we declined once again as I was disappointed with my Capital Grille experience. I hope with this review it can reach management so that in the near future this does not happen to any one else choosing to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion as to what I experienced last night. I understand the state of our economy and the struggles of unfair labor laws but at the end of the day in order to get things you want and reach goals of your own it’s always important to lead with genuine character.
