As a coffee lover, you have to step into the original Starbucks store in Pike Place Market! What's special here is the welcoming staff and the variety of limited-edition beans and merchandise. I highly recommend ordering the pour-over (which may not be on the menu) to test the coffee's true profile. The staff can introduce you to the beans and recommend them for your drinks! Also, you get cut pics from the staff in the front!
First starbuck store. My first visit as last time when I visit Seattle, it was Christmas day and it closed. To getvjn you need to make reservation/appointment. We made appointment for the thr next day. It was an interesting store which the merchandise are unique and you can only find them at this store. In this store they also sell coffee beans and coffee. Some coffee are unique to this store snd they are good. We ended up spent I can say over what we budgeted but feel it worth. It was a great experience snd eould love to visit again.
Visiting the Original Starbucks at Pike Place Market was a fun and memorable experience. While there was a line, it moved efficiently, and the staff did a great job handling the steady flow of customers. The historic atmosphere and unique merchandise made it feel much different from a typical Starbucks location. It was interesting to see where the company began and to experience such an iconic Seattle landmark in person. Whether you’re a coffee lover or simply exploring the city, it’s definitely worth stopping by to appreciate a small piece of coffee history.
Came here because it’s the first Starbucks ever — and honestly, that’s the only reason to come. The line was about 30 minutes, maybe more depending on the time of day. We waited it out, got inside, and… it’s just a Starbucks. Same menu, same coffee, same vibe as every other location. There’s nothing special about the experience once you’re in there. The service was great, I’ll give them that — staff handles the crowd well. But the food is average and the atmosphere is basically controlled chaos. My honest advice: don’t wait the line. Walk up, take your photos outside and peek in through the door — you’ll get the same experience without losing half an hour of your day. Cool historic spot, but the novelty wears off fast. Visit once, check the box, move on.
This first Starbucks is worth coming even if needs 40-50 minutes lineup on site. All other stuffs are nice and kind except for the senior white lady cashier with black face mask. Do you believe that she spent 30+ minutes talking with ONE customer during checkout. She did not give any apologies to the customers who are waiting behind for checkout. She did not care other customers who were waiting outside for entrance in such a scorching day. Please, other customers also matter. She was so mean and destroying the good reputation of Starbucks. The other young girl cashier has finished checking for 7-8 customers, however she spent 30+ minuets talking with ONE customer without caring about others. The worst staff that I met in all Starbucks. Pls avoid this senior lady cashier when you check out.
I arrived around 6:15am on a Sunday and there were already about 10 people and a dog in front of me. They have a new process where by a particular time, a customer will need to make a reservation to get in. At the time I went, a reservation wasn't required. While standing in line, a white guy walked by and yelled out the plural version of the "n" word. Those of us in line ignored him, awaited our turn to go inside, and I loved my visit. Note... there are several homeless people out, and across the street, around that time of the day. I bought coffee and a bear-ista. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about Starbucks history. However, since this is a place with routinely long lines and tourists that want to do other things, I suggest they keep their welcoming sentences must shorter. I believe I talked to the staff about 10-15 minutes before being able to go in and get what I already knew I wanted. If you go to this location, go when they first open... close to 6am.
Very long line!! It's the same food or atleast I think it was. The merch is great and I loveddd the interior! It's definitely something you should see if you want too but do note there was around an hour of waiting in line. But its part of seattle culture and I'm so glad they left the store (mostly) untouched! Very cool experience and the workers were VERY nice out seemed like they loved their job. No dine in either.
Visited the first Starbucks and it felt really special—like stepping into a piece of coffee history. The line looked long but actually moved pretty fast. All the workers were super nice and friendly too. Definitely a cool spot to check out!
Limited edition drinks only in this store. I supposed. Never had it at other Starbucks store. However the experience wasn't as good as expected. No dine in and just take away. Not much to see. If needed to queue more than 30minutes, it doesn't seems to worth the experience.
Walking through Pike Place Market and visiting the original Starbucks was such a special Seattle moment ☕️✨ Inside the store, the vintage logo, classic displays, and old-school atmosphere made the history feel very real 📜🌿 Pike Place Market has been part of Seattle since 1907, and Starbucks began here in 1971. Being in a place where both stories come together felt truly iconic and memorable 😊 The lively market outside and the nostalgic coffee history inside made this visit even more meaningful. A beautiful spot to enjoy both Seattle’s energy and its heritage ☕️🇺🇸✨ #Seattle #PikePlaceMarket #OriginalStarbucks #StarbucksReserve #CoffeeHistory #SeattleTravel #TravelVibes #Historic
