Visited the very first Starbucks located at 1912 Pike Place, Seattle, WA 98101 and it truly feels special being at the original store! It’s such a popular tourist attraction, but when I went today the wait was only about 5 minutes, which was totally worth it. I ordered the seasonal Heritage Hot Blonde Espresso with oatmilk and honey lavender. It was definitely different and on the sweeter side, but that’s what made it unique. Not an everyday drink for me, but perfect for the experience of trying something special at the very first Starbucks location. The vibe is historic, cozy, and iconic. You can feel the history the moment you walk in. If you’re visiting Seattle, this spot is a must at least once just for the experience and memories.

We are from California and we visit this location 4 days in a row!! (Call me crazy but the chai taste so much better here then my usual Starbucks back home 🤭) they are not only EXTREMELY FRIENDLY BUT ALSO SUPER COOL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!! I’m use to being rushed every time I visit a Drive thru or a cafe but here they make you feel welcome, super friendly, don’t force you to get out fast! They take their time to make you feel comfortable and they explain whatever question you have no matter how dumb your question is, I love them all! Plus they got the best cups ever (cups we don’t get in Cali 😥) tbh is sad and stupid how corporation just sends a few cups (the bear) the I haven’t been able to get in years!!!! The only way to get one is online for $1400 that’s crazy! Anywho you must visit this place you won’t regret it!!! Just keep in mind the service you will get here you won’t get it back home (if you are out of state like me🥹)

It seems like most of my reviews from my four-day trip to Seattle involve places being closed because of the World Cup! Unfortunately, the original Starbucks was no exception. It was closed and being worked on when I visited, so I couldn’t go inside. Still, it was very cool to see it in person, and it looked great from the outside haha.

First of all I want to give a huge shout out to the staff at the Original Pike Place Starbucks. Super friendly and super helpful with our reservations, taking our order, adding cream and sweetener to my coffee, taking photos for us, and helping us with our souvenir purchases. The coffee was excellent as we have come to expect from Starbucks and having it in this iconic location was really special. Great experience!

The first Starbucks location is very charming. Lots of unique merchandise, some location specific drinks, and overall a great experience. The line moves fairly quickly - on a weekday afternoon. Also picked up some of their pike place special reserve beans and their pike place mug as a keepsake!

As of June 11, 2026, you need a reservation to enter the store. I was there on Friday at 3 pm, no reservation spots were available. On Saturday I came at 7:30 am and got a reservation spot at 11 am. Once you are there, the wait is 10-15 minutes. Staff is super friendly and helpful, you can choose the exclusive merchandise from the menu. They also have several exclusive drinks available only at this location.

Highly recommend. Although there was a reservation needed we didn’t know about, there is so much to do in the area while you wait. Once it was our time, and we got in, well worth it. Felt like a personalized experience and super inviting. We learned a lot from the staff about the history, had samples, ordered our drinks and also purchased a few things.

This is the 1st Starbucks coffee & Tea shop opened in the US and it attracts a lot of tourists from all around the world to visit . The waiting line is normally long and store is always crowded but the store staff are well trained and run the shop efficiently. The greeting lady is super friendly and welcoming ( I believe she is from Japan).

Visiting the famous, original Starbucks store for the first time in over a decade was a notable experience, though it differed significantly from my past visit. The location remains historic and highly popular, attracting many tourists daily. However, during this recent visit, I was unable to actually enter the shop. It appeared that entry is now restricted, possibly operating on a reservation system or strict capacity management guidelines. Because of these current restrictions, I could only peek inside the coffee shop from the entrance area rather than ordering a drink or browsing the exclusive merchandise up close. The exterior still retains its original charm, making it a good spot for photos from the outside. If you are planning a visit and want to experience the interior, it is highly recommended to verify the current entry rules and potential booking requirements in advance to avoid any issues at the door.
