During my first visit to the original Starbucks, I initially thought it had closed its doors about a month ago, especially after hearing about the unfortunate fate of the nearby Starbucks Reserve. To my delight, as I strolled by, I discovered that this iconic location was very much open! The moment I stepped inside, I was met with the warm smiles and genuine friendliness of the staff, creating an inviting atmosphere that felt like a welcoming embrace. The drinks, crafted to perfection, were nothing short of extraordinary, each sip bursting with flavor. It was truly a wonderful experience to immerse myself in such a beloved space.
Visiting the first Starbucks in Seattle was a fun experience, especially for coffee lovers and anyone interested in the history of the brand. The original store has a charming, nostalgic feel and is a great place to stop while exploring Pike Place Market. It’s more about the experience and the history than just grabbing a cup of coffee. The iconic storefront, the atmosphere, and the connection to where Starbucks began make it a memorable Seattle landmark worth visiting.
The first time I passed by I said the line was too long. I came another day and the line was the same. The line moves fairly quickly. They gave baristas outside directing the line. Once inside they have it well planned out. You don’t need to look at the souvenirs. They have a souvenir menu and are ready packed for you once you order them. Then you also place your drink order and move to the next line to wait for your name. It was great to go to the original store. I love my Starbucks.
Starbucks Coffee Company has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The drinks were consistent, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. Great for a quick coffee break or casual meet-up.
Waaaa! I've never seen a so such long line for getting into a Starbuck. We, two families, are spending 45 mins during Sunday afternoon, but all enjoyed own selection. We come back next day morning, Monday, wait time reduces to 15 mins. Yaaaa.
Nastolgic. Line moves fast. Have simple special cups. After that its like a regular starbucks but its all wrapped around it being the first location. This location is in a very busy place by the fish market. Have to park in parking garage or get lucky on another street. Tons of stuff todo in this area possibly 2hrs.
We were told the line would be around 1.5 hrs, but within 30 minutes we got in. While waiting, they served cold strawberry drinks and once we got in, they served cold coffee that was brewed for over 20 hours. The staff were fantastic.
Figuring out the line situation was a bit stressful, but once inside, everyone was SUPER NICE, the atmosphere was calm, the coffee was better than that at a usual Starbucks, and there were cute souvenirs :) I’m not a big Starbucks person, but I’m glad to have stopped by! Come early as you can, and give yourself time to walk around the area as those working at the door will put you on a virtual waitlist.
Stopped by to see what all the hype was about, and honestly …it was just okay. The place itself is pretty small, which probably explains the long line. If the line is under 5 minutes, it might be worth checking out. Anything beyond that, I wouldn’t really recommend, it’s just not worth the time. It’s a coffee shop 🤷♂️ On the plus side, the staff was friendly. But overall, it didn’t quite live up to the buzz for me.
I was pleasantly susprised, at the door a gentleman at work was spanish was spoken it felt warm to be received. Inside theres is a controlled crowd never to many people inside, coffe is great and the souvenirs are specific to this location. I will return at the first chance I have.
