We visited the original Starbucks Pike Place, and honestly I expected the experience to feel more special and unique. But in the end, the cappuccino tasted just like it does at any regular Starbucks location. The main difference was the long line and wait time. Still a fun place to visit once if you’re in Seattle for the history and atmosphere.
Very busy - if you want to visit you need to pre book a slot or wait in line. When we came, wait was 1.5 hours so we chose not to go in. Staff did happily show me a merch overview before making the decision which was good
The staff are what make this experience so magical. Every single staff member we encountered was brimming with positivity & enthusiasm. We were encouraged to take our time to enjoy the experience and it felt amazing to soak in a little piece of the history of Starbucks. We got coffee and some great merchandise to remember our trip.
Visited the original Starbucks Pike Place Market—expect long queues as many come to experience the first branch. The shop is cosy and small, with exclusive merchandise. Coffee taste is standard, but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile.

We stood in the standby line and it was not that long. But I highly recommend making a reservation. Great place to visit!! Lots of history.
Visiting the very first Starbucks was such an incredible experience! The atmosphere was so special, and the entire staff was so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely kind. A huge shoutout to Zach for making this visit absolutely top-tier! His positive energy, outstanding customer service, and genuine kindness truly made my day. He went above and beyond to make the experience memorable, and I left with the biggest smile on my face.Thank you for making a visit I had been looking forward to so unforgettable. It's definitely interesting to see the original starbucks, however if you're not that interested the wait in the line may be boring. They have lots of staff on duty taking drink orders, greeting people, and plenty making orders. I had a caramel ribbon crunch which is a very delicious sweet drink with whipped cream and caramel. Overall cool little place, great staff, and they have a little special menu that changes throughout the seasons.
1st starbucks shop. Coffee is all the same, Starbucks. Staff is firendly and professional (patient and knowledgeable). They sell an unique coffee bean/flavour, indeed. And, as well Pike Place special souvenirs. If you're not into these 2, not recommend the wait. Be aware of queue, for us almost 45mins.
The people here are super nice especially Zach who has been the most kind person we met in Seattle. We are the tourists from Vancouver and we lost our whole bag yesterday, including our wallet and the Starbucks bear keychain just bought. So we come back the day after and try to get a new one. Zach is showing us his perfect smile and fulfilled of empathy, his service is amazing and made me love Seattle again. Really appreciate him and he made our day!
