St. Joseph Medical Center

If in the future I need life-saving medical assistance from St Joseph's Hospital or death, I WILL CHOOSE DEATH. Medical care while I was there was ok but not complete. Since trying to get forms for insurance company has been a total nightmare. I call, they transfer me, they answer, they hang up. I call another another number they told me I need to call records department. I call records department they told me i have to call someone else. I call someone else they tell me to call medical records. I call medical records, the same lady tells me I need to fill out an authorization form online. Why didn't she just tell me that the first time?

I had a really good experience here. Everyone was kind and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and you can tell they truly care about their patients. The wait time was surprisingly short, and the whole visit felt organized and smooth. The staff explained everything clearly, checked in with me often, and made sure I understood my treatment options. They were also very flexible and transparent about payment, which I appreciated. It’s rare to feel both cared for and taken seriously at the ER, but they did. I would definitely recommend this place if you ever need care in Houston.

I had to go to the ER for some issues from healing after a surgery...I just knew that I was going to have a long wait and the usual a nurse checking on you here and there, but not enough to make you feel comfortable..But I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel B. and he was the most calming I've ever met...He popped in and made sure I was calm and assured more than he had time for but he found time and it was greatly appreciated... His kindness and compassion meant so much, the world needs more of him..

I brought my mom here because she couldn’t feel her legs and arms and I went in back with my mom they tricked me to wait in the lobby knowing she would have anxiety attacks without me being nearby all I know is my mother better be fine prior to me getting to her. This hospital I don’t recommend

First impression they nurses all have sincere hearts but at the same time THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR PATIENT they will do the opposite of what you say they never tried to look for sitters they never even asked who can get your children always assumed that I was homeless and made several of calls to cps they would always suggest call your mom NO cause I was not staying here In he first clearly I came to get evaluated and go home this is another hospital that will run your Medicaid up and keep you here for days without telling you what's actually wrong with you but wants to pick up the phones and calls CPS yeah okay they do not answer the phone at all so good luck with followups but I jope they see tjis review and actually change the way they treat people and actually listen here but based on my experience of beijg here twice they left me stranded with TRANSPORTATION TWICE mind you they havs the resources to make sure we got home lied about everything they will lie to you so if not written by he dovtor you see you will be mislead they are very judgemental and not understanding of others situations I couldn't give it the credit it deserves. Because it deserves none As someone knew to this side of town I knew no knowledge about this hospital but they will give you the best advice but in sense tey to convince you other wise. Because of my epilepsy they would send me labor and delivery and the first day I went I had no intention on staying there they immediately admitted me and was growing impatient because I didn't have anyone to sit with my children which I wasn't aware they was admitting me at all so that was a huge issue because they would order extra labs, blood work continues monitoring the baby because of my high blood pressure been any rocker they want to keep close eye but instead of them saying what they were doing and the plans they had for me everyday I stayed there it was something different they told they understand I'm away from my children but in slight moment they would induce and take my son earlier than his expected date I didn't like the miscalculated and let try to convince her to stay and when I would call for the head of department they would not be help at all they would qw want the best for you and taking care of you but there not in communication to each other so this what really put the cake one they sent me home with literally slippers and shirt I came in their with ao I went home naked no transportation because they couldn't guarantee it because I signed AMA TWICE because they lied and made no efforts to get me home as they wanted me to stay for more testing I was not willing to do that 😕 they lied to me entire visit they wants to take over my case but I do not based off the experience and my voice not being heard I will go back where I am respected and treated like a person THANK you to nurse who was so kind to finding me a charger and buying me whataburger but I'm sorry I juat wanted to be with my family nurses nor doctors understood that until I no longer felt like a person 😔 labor and delivery team here is very inconvenient they listen to my concerns but also ignored them at the same time they kept trying to convince me to leave after making a big deal about my children when it was supposed to be a routine check up nor staying overnight I walked into this hospital twice in one week back to back the emergency room needs to understand they take care of adults okay but they do nothing for women that are pregnant they send you LABOR and delivery all they care about is running countless of test that they do when you walk in they lossed possession of my clothes and my son car seat that I had to literally catch a fit about with the understanding because they told if I wanted to leave I have to sign ama but not telling me the catch was going in freezing cold with no clothes on in gowns from the hospital that would have to go ride the bus 30 minutes after they was just preaching about how they wanted to make sure mw and my baby was safe lied and was making a case on me the entire time

Those in their mental health department are a joke. They are rude and disrespectful to their patients, and treat them like trash. I was truly appalled by the level of care and treatment my loved one received, and I must say the treatment I received as a caretaker was not any better. Hire better healthcare workers. This is a profession that’s supposed to be filled with compassion empathy and no judgment and that’s not the case here.

Our experience with this hospital’s labor and delivery staff has been very positive. In adoption-related cases, sensitivity, communication, and respect matter greatly, and this team has shown professionalism and compassion throughout the process.

rude and im not from here. i just got out here and couldn’t find a shelter in time and asked if i could just sleep or sit in the waiting room. the man was rude and sarcastic and said id have to be a paitent like no shit sherlock? im homeless but very much aware of my surroundings and how i treat people and also it was other homeless people sleeping in the waiting area, so why couldn’t i?

I came here looking for help mentally the psych staff was so rude to me. They locked me in a room while i cried for my mother because i came intoxicated and they forced me to stay there after i told them im okay. The doctor lied and they sent me to another facility where i got out next day because nothing was wrong with me, i was just upset at the time and wasn’t thinking rational. i got fed literally nothing but 1 ham sandwich a day for breakfast lunch and dinner and stared at a wall and only thing i could do was sleep in there because its a box like jail. When i told them i need to let my mom know where im at since they held me hostage just to get money from my insurance that’s when the young nurse with the Gucci purse who was on her phone all day ignored me when i asked for anything didn’t speak a word locked me in the room and i cried tears it was Cold and sad i immediately regretted seeking help mentally. when i got away from the hospital at the other one my sister said we was so worried about you. When i finally got let back into my room the nurse said “ why you let her out?” These people are teens working here and they don’t have no credentials and the psych facility is literally worse then jail. Do not ever go here for the love of god. This place is sick. I can’t believe i really experienced this from seeking mental health help Update this post my card is now being used for fraud this place is very sketchy it was used time i went to the hospital and they took my belongings

If I could give Danielle in ER today 4/25/26 at 810pm a review it would be 0 star due to bad customer service. Attitude should of kept her at home or got her admitted to back in intake. Will be filing a concern with patient advocate. Secretary and and security had a better attitude than she did.
