St. Joseph Medical Center

I had a wonderful experience here at the women center! Every nurse and doctor I had for my c section and for my baby were truly wonderful, caring, nice, and attentive. Even the cleaning and food staff were so nice. Excellent care the entire time. I also can’t breast feed and no one judged or pushed me on it. My baby also went to nicu and the team there took amazing care of him. They even made him a cute little card. I highly recommend it there.

If I could give this hospital a zero i would. This hospital is horrible. My mother was transferred there from another hospital because they had no beds. She was brought in to the 1st hospital by an ambulance. Her blood sugar was 328 and her stomach and legs and ankles and feet were super swollen and she couldn't walk and couldn't hold food down. At the 1st hospital they said she has decompensated cirrhosis with ascit and her blood levels were low and they gave her 2 blood transfusions . When she gets to this hospital they treat her for stomach pain and that is it and give her 1 blood transfusion but they can't find where the blood is going because her blood count never goes up . This hospital never treated her for her liver never addressed that issue. The attending was Abid Faroog he is not a good doctor and the hospital is dirty and nasty . Never take anyone you care about to this hospital. The pictures online must be old because it doesn't look anything like that.

My daughter was seen there after being in a car accident. After 5 hours and an x-ray they discharged her without being seen by a doctor!!!! They should've given her an MRI, and said they don't do that there!!!! This place is a circus, run by clowns!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS "HOSPITAL"!!!!

The doctors did very little to help our family member’s situation. The communication they provide is absolute garbage. They dont even communicate with each other! We were given updates days late and aren’t even told what is going on. The staff was decent. Some of the nurses were great. However, we feel like the doctors could have done more. They didn’t communicate and may have caused our family member’s life. This place should be shut down.

I came to St. Joseph’s for an outpatient procedure. My care team was amazing. Everyone from the nurse to the anesthesiologist was super nice, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable. It was a smooth process and I dont even remember being knocked out. Upon waking up, the amazing care continued. My nurses made sure I was feeling up to it before transferring me to a room for recovery. They gave me apple juice (my favorite ☺️) and wheeled me right on out to my car. The wait in registration was a bit long. But once I got upstairs, everyone was rolling. 10/10 would recommend

My labor experience in itself was unique with this being my first child and all but the staff were a bit not put together. Of course there were several nurses who were outstanding but they were a couple who you can tell weren’t that caring or attentive. I almost gave birth in triage because of how long it took for me to get a room in labor & delivery. Claire, Anita & Jasmine were excellent nurses in helping me recover & making sure my baby and I were comfortable. Dr. Jaime Middleton was my doctor and is excellent at her job and with her patients at the clinic in Pearland. Highly recommend her but this hospital can use some updating in how they handle protocol. I mean who wants to fill out paperwork WHILE THEY ARE IN FULL BLOWN LABOR!!!!!

Nursing on the sixth floor outstanding. The doctors in my care team except Dr. Washington. Were absolutely wonderful they came in explained everything and listened. I could not ask for a better team. The care given was absolutely wonderful and I am so very grateful. Even the food was very good. Every aspect even the cleaning staff was so professional. I am a former Vice president and 30 plus years in Healthcare. I love St Joseph hospital and you will always be my 1st choice.

My team was great! Being a first time mom I Loved my nurse, Catherine, from delivery she was so helpful and she had a couple of tricks up her sleeves to deliver my baby. Then I was moved to postpartum rooms and had another nurse who was great as well, Ijama (I think that was her name, sorry if I got it wrong) she took good care of me the rest of the stay, of course I had different shift nurses during my 3 day stay but she was one of my favorite. Overall I had a great experience at St.Joseph’s and would recommend it to anyone.

Here we go again. I said a yr ago I would NEVER refer this hospital and my feelings have not changed. Coming here today was very unfortunate. My niece passed out at an event and the ambulance brought her to this hospital. We got here around 5pm and it is 10:54pm and we are not close to leaving. During my nieces incident she hit her head and they told us about a cat scan around 6pm it wasn't done until about 9:30pm. I don't understand why personnel cannot inform you as to why things take so long or move so slow especially when if you don't work here you wouldn't know the process. The best thing about this visit were 2 staff members Dominic, who was a nurse and fireman and Kat who made sure we got something to eat because non of us had eaten a meal. She also checked on us periodically and was so nice. I wish I could talk this message so you could here how frustrated we are. This does not make since. How can a supposed top notch hospital deliver such low/poor service. Please don't come here and don't bring your loved ones. It is 11:30pm and finally she is being discharged. Thank God she is good. The man has taken this IV out and blood is everywhere. He looked and said this is fine and put tape on a blood soaked gauze pad. He didn't even clean this stuff up. He left my niece in this. We are just leaving at 11:37pm. Again I say, don't come here.

I've had to bring my mom in to several doctors here in the past few months for various checkups and screenings, and every single person we encountered was so nice it started to feel bizarre. I'd never experienced anything like it in any sort of medical setting before. Everyone, from the security guards at the reception desk to the administrative staff to random passersby to, unlikeliest of all, the doctors themselves, was incredibly pleasant and helpful.
