Great store! Very clean! Security officer is personable. JORDAN in the meat department is friendly and always willing to assist!
Downtown Portland supermarket. Multiple security guards, bottle drop in the back of the building (not recommended at night) and people outside asking for money (multiple people). It's a focal point especially at night. The staff is great and are friendly. The inside is bright and clean.
Nice clean, organized store. The lady at the Deli was nice. It's too bad it has to be so expensive and it had been made necessary to have security there !!
Saw security tackle a homeless man for having the nerve to *gasp* ask for a paper bag. Just weeks after reporting them for recording and mocking a man having a mental episode outside of the store. Seems like the security here has a consistent problem with empathy. Safeway comments that they'll "look into it" but nothing changes.
I used to live in Blumel and visited there every other day. The staff is very friendly, and they have a great collection, though it's a bit pricier than some other places.
We stopped by here because we were in the area and I wanted to get some soda. We found parking easily on the street in front of the store because we came around 9pm. I think you can't take the cart outside because there are steps to exit the building. I found the soda easily and they had a special where if you buy 2, you get 1 free. We also got some chips as well along with some chocolate. I used the self checkout, but the scanner gun wasn't working so I had to manually scan each item. They also have security at the entrance for extra security.
This Safeway has gone downhill. The single entrance with a security guard gives off an unwelcoming vibe. The alcohol section is now restricted, and they’ve cut their hours to 10pm, which is tough for downtown residents.
Waited 8 minutes at deli counter, no customers being served. Multiple deli employees made eye contact but ignored our attempts for engagement. I managed a deli and I have to say this is low quality customer service. I do understand that downtown is a different demographic to the one in which I worked. But common practice is to at least communicate to a customer that some will be with them, if you yourself can not assist them.
Went into Safeway in Portland, and it was a nice shopping experience. The layout of the store is quite nice when you first walk in. You see all the beautiful produce and flowers. The store was kept very clean and tidy, making everything easy to find. They even have a security guard at the door, so it makes you feel safe. The aisles can get a little crowded, but that's true of any store. Overall, it was a great shopping experience. I would recommend checking it out.
This is a smaller sized grocery store and it doesn't have a great selection of certain items like health and beauty products. It was crowded. There's security at the front of the store. Parking is on the street. It's pretty easy to find a spot to parking. I've used their online ordering and then picked up my groceries a couple of hours later. They brought it to my car and loaded my items in. No problems with quality of items chosen by the person shopping my order for me. My order was shopped well and I got everything I needed. I did pickup versus delivery because there was no extra charge for this. Outside of the store can be a bit crowded with people hanging around but it's nothing that would stop me from shopping there. The store itself is clean and my interactions with the staff was very pleasant.
