Subway is better than this. They both have equally horrible shredded old lettuce, however subway has the option of spinach leaves. ----If they add spinach leaves to menu I would go there often. -----Adding an au jus sauce and grilled onions for roast beef wouldn't be a bad idea either.
It's a good place in downtown for a quick grab of lunch. Weekdays it gets really busy here and online order and pick up would be a better choice to escape from a long wait. I am a fan of potbelly tuna salad sandwiches, but I would say that this place is not on par in taste with other Potbelly restaurants I had been to. I feel I miss something in sandwiches made here.
We stopped by on our way through town sightseeing. I came in to order some sandwiches for my kids (my youngest was in the car) and when I said they could go ahead and put “everything” on it, I assumed it was like Subway where they would put tomatoes, onions, pickles, etc, on the sandwich. Instead, I ended up with a sandwich full of spicy (apparently famous?) peppers that had my 8-year-old in tears for about half an hour after she bit into the sandwich. Not at all what I was expecting from a Turkey Avocado. I don’t think I even saw any avocado in the sandwich as I picked out the peppers (and the oil made it STILL HOT.) You can’t see anything behind the counter so you have no idea what they’re putting on your sandwich. I didn’t see any signs anywhere with what my options were and the people behind the counter never asked for or gave clarification of what they were going to put on my sandwich. I won’t be visiting any Potbellies location ever again after this.
1st experience at this Potbelly today, won't be going back: tasty salad but staff member didn't know how to make it, burned up time telling me about that, took WAY too long in this empty (0 other customers) restaurant to make it, 3 other staff members (including the manager) mostly didn't help, then I was handed an ultra-sloppy container with lettuce piece and dressing and hummus all over the exterior. I spent the next 30 minutes eating the reasonably tasty salad but also carefully trying to wipe the container off, not get it on my bag or clothes or knit gloves, etc. Very poor: recent Jimmy John's visit nearby, for example, was VASTLY better: D grade to Potbelly, A grade to Jimmy John's.
This place is criminally understaffed in the evenings. Ordering in is probably ok but don't order in the app. It will take an hour and/or they will mess up your order. The app doesn't give you an accurate pickup time so you'll be sitting in the dining room twiddling your thumbs.
The food is good. The wait to make a simple sandwich is simply unexplainable. It took 30 minutes just to get through the line and get a sandwich. There were only four people in front of me and there were five people working! I don't understand...it's a simple turkey sandwich!
Great place for a quick delicious sub. I got the wreck and loved it. Girlfriend got the avo turkey which was great, but we felt it could have used just a bit more avocado. Overall though the place is recommended
Decent sandwich, but way overpriced for what you get. SAdly, Potbelly has really declined in recent years in most locations. Lazy and entitled staff with a pretty poor work ethic, and the product is uninspiring and overpriced. Also, no one enjoys when the employees flip the screen around with 20% tip pre-selected. It's very presumptuous to expect a tip on a takeaway sandwich, especially a mediocre overpriced one.
Horrible experience. Ordered at 12:30pm did not get my food until 1:40pm. Waited for over 45 minutes waiting while the staff just talked to each other. I watched people get their food that ordered way after me. Food was cold and disgusting. Never again.
I ordered a veggie sandwich. A main ingredient (Avacado) was missing, and toppings I asked for were replaced with ones I did not ask for. Since I ordered through uber, I'm not going to get a refund. Do not order from here.
