Plato's Closet - West San Antonio, TX

They were very prejudiced toward me. I had clothes there. They made me sit for 9 hours. I'm almost headed to have my clothes ready and I went about 9 o'clock in the morning at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. They still didn't have a reading, then, a lot of my clothes that I took. They were missing said that they didn't see it in all this. I hardly got anything from my for my garments. And I know the ones that were missing were once that I couldn't got a little bit more money for that's a second time. I went to Plato's closet. I give it a 1 or 0. They're no good.

I’ve found really good pieces here and they are pretty organized compared to other Plato’s BUT they definitely do low ball you when you sell clothes on top of that let’s say they have an item priced at $12 brand new with tags on and you search that item online it’ll be cheaper online at $6 than what they are selling it for … & they don’t price match so they’re basically doubling the price than what you could’ve gotten it elsewhere and it makes no sense considering it’s a thrift store…. Your suppose to be coming here for good deals not to be scammed but I get it it’s not the workers fault it’s the businesses fault. Besides that this is actually one of the better Plato’s closet locations!

I was just there the other day looking for some second owned renaissance ware. I was super lost and did not know where to start. Until one of the associates came over and asked if I needed assistance. It was none other than Ms.Violet. She stayed with me while I tried clothes on, helped lace up a corset when I did not know how and brought me many options I did not even think to try. She helped me out an outfit together and at the end of the experience I walked out with lots of options thanks to her. She was amazing and I will be returning soon to ask for her help again. Thank you again Ms.Violet for making that experience a carefree delight. 10/10 would recommend this location.

Could use a little more work. Very disappointed in the staff at the location. Girls are super rude and don’t seem to have any costumer service skills.

I’ve been going to this location for a while—on and off since I lived out of town for a bit—and customer service has always been inconsistent. I came in yesterday around 11:00 AM to sell my 4 bags of items. Just as I walked in, the female employee at the selling table creating a sale whiteboard sign immediately said, “Put your bags over here.” Well, good morning to you too? A more polite greeting would’ve been appreciated. The other female employee at the register was much nicer. I then came back by 2 PM to pick up my clothes, and there were a new set of female employees. The selling table employee was more friendly Ft this time. After processing my items, I’ve noticed that 1 of my 4 reusable bags was missing—it was replaced with a large plastic bag. I assumed that the buyer going through my items couldn’t fit my clothes in this specific reusable bag because I spotted it in the bottom of the plastic bag. I then took my bags into my car trunk, investigated further, then there it is—my reusable bag had been ripped. I would’ve went back in and said something, but I was feeling very fatigued and didn’t feel like it was worth the effort at the time. Life goes on. Even though there was a new set of employees when I came back to the store and most likely didn’t know of the bag replacement, I would’ve appreciated a heads-up or an apology note beforehand, but I received none of that. The store policy also says to bring your clothes folded neatly for the buying process, but my clothes were all just tossed back in messily when I retrieved the bags. This location has been a hit-or-miss for as long as I remember. I will continue to go to the Bandera/1604 location where they have better, consistent customer service and are not as picky in the buying process.

My recent visit was amazing, awesome staff amazing styles and always stocked up very pleasant. My offers was fast and convenient, got some great deals on jewelry. I really enjoyed the variety the store offers it’s always a pleasant doing business with you guys. Thanks

I have been selling and shopping at this location for years now . By far my favorite resale store . I always find great deals . Great customer service the staff is always very friendly and helpful . I love all the great sales and styles . Thanks for all your hard work staff 😉

I have to write another review 2 days later because of how amazing the staff is!!! This time Violet truly made my entire experience pleasurable from start to finish. She cheered me up while I was having a bad day, and truly showed me nothing but the absolute best customer service the whole time I was in the store. I’ll definitely be back just because of how amazing Violet treated me and the people behind me as-well. (And I got great credit for my trade)

Awful worn out selection of clothes, with over priced tags. This store is too greedy on their used selections that should be in the $3-5 price ranges. Employees were slow and unattentive towards the consumer.
