I have been a long time customer selling and buying from this Plato's . Their customer service is outstanding. The employees are always friendly and ready to help . Even during these hard times for business being understaffed they still show up with smiles on thier faces . I highly recommend anyone looking for great quality used clothes and assecories to stop by and check out this location. I have been to 2 other locations and by far this is my favorite and the only one I shop at or sell my clothes to. Keep up the great work guys 😀
THE NERVE OF THIS STORE HOW DARE YOU TAKE MY MERCHAMDISE AN NOT PAY ME. Yall didn't fold it back neatly u just threw it all inn a pile. You continue to say it was all about the condition and the style. When half of the stuff in your store is older than dirt and the price is just even worse. You act as if your store has brand new clothes. And that's what I don't like. Because how dare you'll keep some of my merchandise and not pay me for it. I know what you'll do I was watching out. Take everything out of the bag and the box.I had my stuff in and everything. That shelter, shall we keep you all putting to the side and everything? That's already in the back. You're just doing in a pile as if it made it look like there was a lot more.I'm not dumb but this place is horrible. How many other people have done this? How many other people have gone through that with them?Previous calls, it should be ashamed of themselves and should be shut down.Because who would want second hand clothes that cost more than brand new.... But that's the greedy yr þ that they have and the greedy is all they
I loved this store Brandy tended to me she was amazing and very helpful. I got some awsome bags gotta check them out totally recommend im from the RGV.
Horrible. They didn’t even look through my clothes. Was there the WHOLE hour in the store watching them!! All they did was open my bag and put it in a bin then texted me saying clothes ready.
I took 5 bags full of good clothes and 10 pairs of shoes, I will admit there were some items that I was expecting to get back but there were some that were brand new with tags, in total they took only 6 pairs of shoes and two rings. One of the shoes were brand new, never worn. In total I got $116, not complaining too much about the payout, more about the fact that they didn’t even look at my items, perhaps because there were a lot which I understand but still, I received them back untouched. I will be trying a different location next time.
This store owes me money or my stuff back they kept my clothes and my Aldo purse and shoes told me they don’t send text when your stuff is ready and I have gotten messages in the past. The lady was absolutely rude telling me I had 5 min to get there before they close to get my stuff or it’s store credit. I will absolutely not be going to a other Plato’s after this experience
There’s a lot of bad reviews. Everyone has a bad experience, but I don’t understand what their expecting what they come in here. You’re not walking into a coach store, or someone like that? It’s a used clothing store…I’ve never had the employees treat me rude. They’re not doing cartwheels…but it sounds like some people expect that. Sometimes I don’t sell a lot, sometimes I do ok. I sell here quite a bit. There’s a few consignment stores I sell to. This one is the most relaxed with what they take, so when I shop from them, I also expect clothing from any brand and all types of wear. They’re not new clothes….but I have found great finds here, and the store is friendly. I like that they do themes with the clothes they put out sometimes. That can be fun.
When I went first thing I noticed were SO many sensors on the floor . I had brought my sister to visit the store since she’s not from here and when she grabbed a Jean to try on , there was so many sensors in the pockets I turned them in to an employee. My cashier looked like she didn’t wanna be there … this was during the 90% off deal.
The organization of items was decent and the staff were friendly and helpful but the whole place smells funky and I noticed several clothing items with significant staining, heavily wrinkled, and even some dirty clothes that looked and smelled like they were never washed before being set out for purchase. Furthermore, many of their items are priced as if they were brand new. If I'm gonna pay $10-$20 for a shirt I'd prefer it to not be used, wrinkled, stained, and stinky.
Front desk staff are polite and friendly. I’d say if you come here to have high expectations of getting a lot of money for your clothes you might not be happy with the money they offer you, but let’s be honest, it’s fair, they also have to make money and they’re already giving you something. I’ve been coming to Plato’s so I don’t have to just gift my good clothes to goodwill and they will make money out of my clothes anyway so that’s why I come here now. When I get my cash offer I take it and they usually give me some clothes back, then I go to goodwill or a donation drop box. Plato’s usually has a white board or sign informing customers what they’re looking for and that will buy from you so you can also keep that in mind :)
