Very passive aggressive attitude from a worker at the register disrespectful to adults over 40 . She treated me like I was stupid . The store was empty with one person ahead of us so me and my daughter stood to wait to Pay this lady said can you start the line where the sign is using a condescending passive aggressive tone like the store is so crowded and we saw the sign and ignored it . I responded where is the sign we have never been here and she rudely pointed saying it’s right there like she has misdirected anger at us . First of all what line is being started ? We were the only people in the store besides the lady paying . We will not be going back here ever and we don’t even live far . Let me tell it has been a hectic week for us my grandson was born with half a heart and is still being treated we come to places to try and save money to be treated like this . I bursted out of that store and waited in the car for my daughter . My daughter told me after I left another worker who was busy kindly stepped up and rang her up and she could tell she was embarrassed by the ladies behavior toward us . She probably treats the people she works with like that sad toxic work environment .
This is the cleanest, most well organized, and easiest to navigate Once Upon A Child store I’ve been to. The staff held my item when I forgot my Visa card, they always let my kiddo play with some toys while we shop, and the selection is excellent. We love having this place as a fun stop to escape the heat and find the things we need at a great price.
Excellent staff very clear and precise, the return (cash or trade) is usually low in comparison to what was paid to obtain the item, but given the fact that the things donated would have been thrown away anything is better than nothing.
I went there looking for sleepers and possibly a high chair. I didn't find anything I was looking for a chose to leave. As I was leaving my husband made a comment to me about how we didn't find a high chair. I responded I don't think they had any. The cashier took it upon herself to say if I can't afford their prices to shop at Burlington. I thought it was rude to worry about my pockets and she really needed to mind her business. I was going to buy a push toy from their but I got a better one from Walmart new and at a lower price. I will not be returning here.
Called to see if they took certain items. Brought items they approved in, then they declined. Bathtub was brand new but said it was dirty. Nursing pillows and carriers had VERY light staining. Clothing was too wrinkled. I’m sorry but I’m not going to iron tubs of clothes just to get .25 Their carts are extremely too small. Carrying a car seat, a 2 year old, an 18g tub of clothes, as well as other items to sell….in the loudest basket I have ever heard over the bumpiest asphalt. And then all of the parking makes you walk in the traffic with your kids and is very inconvenient. As someone else said their doors are extremely hard to open with baskets as well as the basket area is around another pole. The two stars is that their prices are better compared to sweet repeats. And they’re clean and organized.
Cute little resale shop. Good barg8ns
Very very rude employees. I would highly recommend to not go to this store.
Amazing place, they have really cute clothes but the ones they do are usually like 6-12 dollars. However, for basic onesies, they just had a clearance sale for 90% off onesies. The ones I got were originally 1.50. I paid 15 cents each for 6 of them and that came out to a dollar. Just incredible sales. Once again you shouldn't expect those sales if you're looking for REALLY cute things but for basic onesies they have really cheap prices, it amazed me. I tried to shop only clearance. I saved 60 dollars total and ended up paying 6 dollars due to the 90% off sale. You have to really really look through each of the clearance items if you're trying to score super low priced, super super cute items. But it was worth it. I did find a cute dress originally 12 dollars it came out to 1.20 and I searched everywhere for something that cute lol!! It was 100% worth it to come here and better priced than thrift stores.
I really enjoy shopping here and come by frequently - been coming for probably 6 years. A few years ago the customer service was truly terrible, but it's been wonderful the last couple years. Super friendly, eager to help you out. Great prices and sales, lots of selection. If Im looking for something specific, they usually have it. You can actually get good items for anywhere from 2.50-5.50, and for even less with their sales. Selling: it's an easy process if you know and follow the rules (something I learned the hard way - and staff was astonishingly rude to me about it with their old crew 3-4 years ago. Almost put me off ever coming back. But the new crew is very polite and respectful). What you need to know: 18 gallon container with lid, lay everything flat inside, they dont take anything with stains, and are pretty picky about the condition of gear/toys. As far as what they pay: better compensation than Sweet Repeats in my experience, and mostly satisfactory, but still a mixed bag (about 80% great). If you were turned off in the past by the rude customer service, I'd give them another whirl. There's lots of stuff here, great prices, and while selling is a bit unpredictable (as with everywhere), I've had a good experience.
What a joke. I walked in there hoping to find a few toys & teethers for my baby and left straight to target for better deals. At least take off a dollar. The opened toys section was barely marked off as well. Would much rather spend two extra dollars on a new item. Don’t bother coming here, try a different location or make sure you check prices at big stores first because with sales they might be cheaper elsewhere.
