The workers here are always so rude. Everytime I come here they seem bothered that you have entered. I always here them complaining about other customers. It's just an overall terrible atmosphere. Oh and if you ever have clothes to sale just prepare yourself they will hate you for it.🫣
I like Once Upon a Child although sometimes the prices are a little bit High I feel like if it's reused it should be less but I can give them props because all of the clothes I ever buy it for my daughter are always in good condition they always smell nice. I do wash everything just in case. They have everything very neatly organized by gender size and color
They constantly change the rules on how you can bring things in to sell. Myself and my wife have been turned down on 2 separate occasions. And no where on the website does it say anything about bin size or needing a lid. There’s no sign on the door just the women inside that don’t feel like working.
They have a ton of children's clothes and baby items. Strollers, toys, cribs, bassinets and various larger items are along the outer walls. The range in age is for more than just infants and toddlers, it goes all the way up to 17 for clothes. The prices are very reasonable. They purchase secondhand items here. They won't buy secondhand car-seats.
Went in to try to sell (being my first time) the employee at the register was very short in response and rude in tone when I tried to ask a few follow up questions about the selling process. After checking the reviews of this location and other locations it appears that rude employees may be Once Upon A Child’s workplace culture. Instead of making excuses for your employee’s poor behavior (as seen in other various reviews) it seems like trainings and discussions for improvement opportunities would go a long way in increasing overall customer satisfaction. Will be going to donate at a goodwill instead.
I hate to write a bad review but when I go to the same place twice and come in contact with a very unprofessional and rude employee both times, I have to say something! The very first time I went to this store, while checking out an employee named Rosa was complaining out loud, to me, that other people kept coming in to shop and she was upset because as soon as they get caught up more people come. I completely understand being busy is sometimes tough while doing your job, but NEVER do you complain to the costumer about. It made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by being there. Then today I go in and while checking out, my son gently picked up a wooden puzzle that was on display and the same employee, Rosa, told him to “BE CAREFUL!” in a rude and condescending way. My son was doing nothing wrong and an employee should NEVER try to “correct” another person’s child! I really like this store but it makes it hard to go back when things like this happen.
This is an edited review, I am taking this from a 4 to a 2 star review. I used to enjoy coming here to sell but the last few times I have gone the staff has been very rude, and very unhelpful. They have a great variety of things to shop for and they do buy a lot of my items, but I have left each time angry due to the customer service. One of the only friendly people there is the owner, she is very nice to interact with. The other thing that frustrates me is that they can no longer tel you what they pay for individual items, which they always could in the past, so now you have no idea what you are getting for different items.
If I could leave zero stars I would! So disappointed with this location I have been coming here for years and will not be going back after today. They would not accept my bin because the lid did not match. Really?!? I usually drive 30 mins out the way just to come here. But not again! Don’t waste your time here.
So like most reviews here I think the store is for the most part pretty good. I've seen some of the quality clothes and toys in this store and it amazes me how you can buy 40 items out of hundreds for only $40 when a lot of the items were brand new with tags on them. I've seen the prices in your store and you sell at a very overpriced rate according to how you buy back. I've seen clothes and toys covered in animal hair and with stains there and it still makes it out onto the floor. Great concept but I won't be bringing anything back here again.
Waste of time when I went to sell the baby items I no longer needed, reasons for not buying were: stickers were a little faded on the walk and learn to, cradle had a couple of tiny scratches (those were the worker's words), and the jumper was a little dirty (just needed another wipe down since my kids played with it after I cleaned but before I took to store); I have shopped there before so didn't think they were that picky seeing the inventory they have had before; I did rate 2 stars because if you are there to buy, they do have a wide variety of baby things
