Typically when i go into the store i bring in a box or two of items i am ready to pass on to another family who could use them. This store is a great way to give back to everyone and feel like you're getting something back. Not every item brought in the store will be taken... A lot of the time i get back a lot of items, but they usually always do take at least 5 or more items and are willing to give store credit or cash for the items they need. They take items based on what they need and what condition items brought in are in. I will always try this store before giving my kids' stuff off to a thrift store... Love it:)
This store quite literally has the most incompetent employees. I could easily tell you who is going to get paid the highest prices just by a certain factor i won't mention here. I brought in $800+ resale prices and 95% of the items were in like new condition with many of them being actually new never played with. For the clothing my offer was $16 for 16 pieces. The remainder of about 40 pieces were not laid flat i .the basket but just tossed around. Now all the remaining items will need to be relaundered. As for the 42 high end learning toys which are either new or very gently played with...i was offered $9.for 11 pieces. These toys range in price from $30 used price to $125 new or gently used. And even though i took the time to layer these toys with plush towels to protect them...when i got my container...i was shocked and horrified to see all the damage done to my items. I took pictures this morning of my items prior to taking them to this store...i may just call my attorney and the news station. Perhaps that will make a change.
Don’t waste your time and shop elsewhere. Visited this store for the first time hoping to find a swing. When you walk in no one says hi to you, they just look at you like a lost deer. The swing we found was large so after we paid we couldn’t hold it and get the door open (my friend is pregnant so he can’t hold heavy things) all 3 of the employees just stood there watching us struggle and did nothing. The customer service is absolute trash. They had people in line that they had to be told to help. The employees don’t even have the bare minimum skills needed to work in retail.
Should keep bin rules the same - Strongly disappointed. They say this is the best payout but it definetly isn't. 0.50-1.00 per item. An associate noticed me an apologized at another location. I feel bad. But when I come into a store and am greeted angrily and with attitude - it feels awful. Ontop of being declined.
I LOVE THEM! Never have I ever been this excited about a store. I get very cute clothes for a fraction on the cost. They are always having sales and the have a rewards program. The employees are very nice. They have all sizes for kids and their selection for boys is fantastic! Plus they buy clothes so you can sell back your clothes and use that to get more. I recommend it to everyone.
The selection of clothes is good. However, the prices of some of the lowered quality brands are too high. The shoe section is a joke with missing shoes, sizes in the wrong bin, and worn out shoes priced too high. The thrift store across the street has a lot better selection of shoes at better prices. I submitted clothes/shoes/toys last year and was not satisfied with the "quote" I was given. They had already dispersed my items and they were unable to gather all of them for me to take back so that I can go elsewhere. The lady that was helping me at that time seemed annoyed and I just took what little I was quoted and left. The past few times I've visited the store on bandera the employees seem unhappy and annoyed by everyone/everything. I gave this 3 stars because I like that they sort everything by color and set out holiday items in a separate area. This makes it easy to just get what I need and get out of there.
Absolutely terrible experience. I went to sell my daughters clothes there. Over 50 pieces and they only took 27 and gave me $25. They said there was things missing and stains. Absolutely not. I made sure the NIGHT BEFORE that all the zippers worked, all the buttons were buttoned and made sure there were no stains. When I was going through my daughters clothes I made sure that whatever had stains were out in a trash bag. There was nothing wrong with those clothes. Most of those clothes were brand new. Terrible place. 😡
What a scam! Dropped off my container full of (non stained) clothes. Took them five days to go thru it. I get a text message to get it on Monday, obviously I’m busy and couldn’t get over there till Saturday. (I live an hour away & have a infant) They told me my clothes were “donated” and I was given .90 cents of store credit! My container was donated as well!! They basically scammed me out of my clothes. No phone call or voicemail was left. No warning was given that “if I didn’t pick up within 24 hrs my clothes would be donated”. They could have kept my clothes and sold them for 100% profit. Big scam. Maybe go to a different location! Or don’t go at all.
Decent places there having 30% off sale today Although if you plan on selling items to them -must be new condition; and washed -must bring a tote 18gallons or smaller for the clothes Don’t bring -boxes -bags Just totes !!
One of my favorite stores to shop for my granbabies! They have an assortment & seem to always have their size & cute clothes & what we need & want! Thanks once upon a child!
