Might as well be a fly by night contractor. Omnidian sells cheap Chinese products that fail often. They also charge a premium for these products ($70k) at my house in GA. We have already had 2-3 solar edge optimizers fail. It takes them weeks to send the replacement part, and it takes them months to find a service tech to install it from their “approved vendors”. In my experience Omnidian is a company who is eager to rope you in as a customer and kick you to the curb with customer service. My most recent optimizer failed in August, 5 months later they can’t get their “approved subcontractors” to come fix the issue, likely because they are cheap or don’t pay out. There are plenty of scams out there in solar, and this company hasn’t proven themselves to be much different.

I am in houston. The people who leased me the solar system and maintained it filed 13 and I was transferred to a 3rd party maintenance company in Seattle Omnididion or something.AWFUL! It’s been 3 months and my Tesla battery is not charging. Sadly this is the future and it’s populated by the do nothing rights who support the do nothing right govt

Guess I should have paid more close attention to all the reviews here before having anything to do with Omnidian Residential Support for solar services. I got a new roof in January and I've been waiting for over 3x months for them to reinstall my panels and hook up my batter backup. They got mad at me for having a local licensed company take the panels off but I wasn't going to wait for them since I couldn't get them to repair what their solar panels did to my roof anyways. I say "their" solar panels but they originally belonged to Meraki, who apparently went under but the current company (Freedom Forever) took over and contracted with Omnidian to do warranty work, which has never taken place...I was told that Omnidian would only do basic electrical work but not anything related to roof repair. Of course, I'd probably still be waiting for any repairs based on now waiting 3x months just to get my panels re-installed. Doesn't matter what you say to them because, according to all the reviews here, they don't care nor do they listen to customer complaints. Any company with this many 1-star reviews within a year should be FINED by the FCC and any local administrations. I recommend anyone dealing with solar contact someone like Covar Law Group and immediately start the process to get out from your solar contract(s).

I am extremely disappointed with the warranty service provided by Omnidian. Solar panels were installed on my home in April 2025, and my roof began leaking in September 2025—an issue that did not exist prior to the solar installation. I opened a warranty case with Omnidian (Case # WO-00290311) and have been trying to get this resolved ever since. Here is the communication timeline to show how long this has been ongoing: • September 30, 2025 – Initial email sent to Omnidian reporting the roof leak • November 10, 12, and 14, 2025 – Follow-up emails sent • November 30, 2025 – Additional follow-up with no resolution • December 10, 2025 – Escalation email sent addressing unacceptable service, incomplete inspection, and missing report • December 30, 2025 – Yet another follow-up as the issue remained unresolved Despite inspections being scheduled, the service has been unacceptable. The inspection was incomplete, no formal report was provided, and I was told a return visit would be needed—causing further delays while my home continues to experience water intrusion. A response acknowledging “initial steps” did not address the seriousness of the situation or provide any meaningful resolution. We are now approaching 2026, and this issue is still unresolved. I have requested escalation to senior management to review the case in its entirety, including all communications, and to contact me directly. To date, I have experienced a lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability from Omnidian. A roof leak tied to a solar installation is a serious issue. A warranty company should provide clear communication, timely inspections, proper documentation, and decisive action. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Based on how this warranty claim has been handled, I cannot recommend Omnidian.

Absolutely terrible customer service. This is the second time in less than a year that I have experienced the same issue with Omnidian. My home is currently dealing with a significant electrical problem related to my solar system, and once again I am being told that I have to wait nearly two weeks just for someone to come out and diagnose the issue. When a customer is dealing with a system failure that affects their home’s electricity, waiting weeks for support is completely unacceptable. The lack of urgency, poor communication, and long response times show a company that does not seem to value its customers once they have signed up. The most frustrating part is that this is not an isolated incident. This is a repeat experience, which tells me that the problem is not bad luck but a failure in customer support and service operations. If you are considering a solar company that relies on Omnidian for maintenance and support, be prepared for long waits and disappointing service when something goes wrong. Very disappointed.

Software doesn’t work at all and their promise about maintenance timelines Ka all made up. It takes months to get someone out and they oftentimes don’t fix the issue first time around. So why buy their maintenance plan at all?

Don't do it. Do yourself a favor and find another provider. We had a solar project installed by another solar company that went under. Omnidian was selected by the solar loan provider to oversee completion of the process and make sure we had permission to operate. It has been an entire year and they can't get their act together. Sent the same guy out multiple times to gather the same information which they didnt move forward with. They would go silent for months on end with no reply to requests for updates. 11 months into the process they asked us to sign a document which would, in their words, allow them access to "project numbers from PGE. To transfer, they need the signed contract with Empower's name to get access to the status of the PTO." What the heck were they doing for the first 11 months? Signed the papers and they went silent for another month. Asking again for details today and threatening action with the BBB against them. ________________ In response to the Omnidian Response: You can claim to be "fully committed to resolving outstanding issues" all you want. But after 12 months you haven't accomplished anything. Your team continues to ghost me and not respond to requests or submission made through your portal. It doesn't take 8+ months to get a permit in our county. So either your subcontractor is the problem... or Omnidian is. And based on the volume of 1 star reviews made in the past few months it would seem that isn't a question any longer. _________________ Further follow-up: We received a text message today (apparently from Omnidian but it wasn't in my chat history) giving us an update on the process and explaining this step usually takes 2-4 weeks depending on the current timelines with the building department. This would be great news, except that they sent me the exact same message 9 months ago and they haven't done anything since then. So the saga continues and my belief in them to solve the problem continues to fall. ________________ Our challenges continue. We finally (after nearly 14 months) were told that a permit was issued. They sent notice to us that "The service team has confirmed that all of your system remediations have been completed. The next step is an inspection with the AHJ." That would be great except no one ever came to our house to do any work. No one has been here since last year. And now they claim it's been done. What the heck are they doing and why did we wait for a permit if they weren't going to do the work anyways? And what about fixing the EV Charger that is part of the project as well? I've been ghosted again this week by the support team and can't get a. response.

I have been going back and forth for a month with Kris about my roof leaking. He has done nothing to help. this message is foe the CEO Mark. Your company cause my daughter to end up in the hospital because of mold in my house due to leak that I reported over a month ago. Kris kept on saying that he is going to escalate it to Complete Solar who did the installation. No one has gotten back to me on fixing my roof. Now my daughter who suffers from asthma room roof is complete mold. I spoke to jesus from Complete Solar who told me they would get back to me within 24 hours. I have not receive any call back. Kris gave me a fake number for complete Solar and told me he didn't have an address for my lawyer to write them. Attached are photos of how they left my roof No one will touch the roof because of the solar panels. I want them remove and my roof fix. Obviously this is not important, no manager have gotten back with me. In fact Kris email me since Friday stating he is waiting on report after I had send him the pictures. neither complete solar or Omnidian have not tried to resolve this issue. at this time I will take it to BBB. I have been sick for two weeks and Mold is killing my family and these people don't care. I would like for to understand that I have to be paying $2800 for a house that I cannot enjoy because I am in a motel afraid of mold damage to me and my children. While you slowly kill us off let me know when my house will be fix. By far the worst experience ever, if there was a negative zero that's what you would get from me. you are not worth not even one star

I share your concerns regarding our experience with Omnidian and the transition from Astrum/Direct Energy. Over the past 13 years, we have generally had a reliable system with prompt service. However, issues began last year when three microinverters ceased functioning. Omnidian informed us that it was our responsibility to monitor the system, despite our contract stating otherwise. We were later told that the problem was related to their vendor, Enphase, which should not have affected us. Despite declining a one-time settlement offer, we incurred additional electricity costs until the issue was resolved. Currently, we are facing a similar problem with four microinverters out of service. We have not been notified of this issue. When contacting support, the response was scripted and did not address our concerns. We were told that with only four panels out of forty, the system was still considered operational. Now, we are informed that if we do not accept a one-time payout of $400, repairs will be delayed until August 2025—another year of waiting. This ongoing situation is extremely frustrating, and I am exploring the possibility of switching to another company, although this seems challenging. The lack of reliable support and the ongoing issues have led to significant stress and increased electricity costs.

Omnidian were terrific, they responded to my maintenance request quickly, and were able to fit me in within a week. Shea was friendly, competent and very knowledgeable. The service technician, Colin, was also great. Thank you!
