I went here with my friend for a drink on a Friday night. It was busy but not overwhelming or crowded. We found a table and ordered two expresso martinis. My friend and I are expresso martinis lover and have always order it wherever we go. Bars, restaurants, lounges, and I have to say the expresso martini we had here is the worst that we have tasted. I took the drinks back to the bartender and told him what happened. He just added more liquor in it, which didn't help the taste at all. To be charging higher than average price and providing such lousy service is very disappointing.
They have great cocktails, I tried Close to The Sea and Anchor Down. Both were very flavorful. The ambiance is very cool, they have many fashion coffee table books and there is a corner library room. Also, their fries with parmesan is pretty good too!!
Was loudly shamed and embarrassed by a server for trying to find a seat. There was allegedly a lineup that we weren't aware of, even though for the two days prior the same server told us to find our own seats. Food is pricey and mediocre. Service needs a lot of work. Tables and chairs are low, awkward and uncomfortable for eating. Older people or people with disabilities will have a lot of difficulty.
Good service with a nice beer selection. They also have a good liquor selection. They have The McCallan 12 and 18 year but for $20+ a finger. Not a place for cheap drinks but everything was made well. $13 20oz double IPA is doable when staying in the heart of the beast.
Nice bar. Haven't been back here since they remodeled the space. The lobby bar used to be in a small cubby of a space. Now it's more front, and center. It's design fits the age, and decor of this hotel as well. Nicely Done, we will be back!
Appalling service and dismissive treatment of a breastfeeding mother. I came here with some friends for drinks and small bites. My friend needed to pump breastmilk but none of the nearby bathrooms had an outlet. When we asked a member of the waitstaff for help, he was completely dismissive and didn’t offer any assistance other than to suggest she check the bathrooms again. She was forced to find an outlet in a hallway and sit on the floor to pump. I find it impossible that a 4-star hotel couldn’t have offered her a room or other private dignified space. The Fairmont should be ashamed. I will not be going back.
Service at this bar was spectacular! Bartenders and barbacks are super friendly!
It was very beautiful, and the atmosphere was refined.
