Olympic Bar

A beautiful hotel bar inside the Fairmont! Excellent decor and atmosphere. Great for a drink before dinner if you are a guest at the hotel. Could also be great for a first date if you’re just looking to grab drinks. I didn’t have the food here but it’s lighter bites. Good location and walkable to Pikes Place Market.

The Fremont is a high-end hotel in the Seattle downtown area. We decided to go have a quick night cap at the bar inside. It was packed and very lively, which was a nice surprise for a Thursday night. They had an event going on in their main event hall. We sat at the bar and got greeted immediately but the service was slow. I understand because it was very busy. We decided to order food and after about 45 minutes we asked where our order was. The server was baffled and couldn’t believe we hadn’t received our food. He checked with the kitchen, and they told him they were out of what we ordered, which was the chicken lollipops. Bad communication on their part. We ordered something else and then it took another 45 minutes to come out. I’m surprised we even stayed that long but we had a lot of fun talking with the other customers. We ordered more drinks to keep us occupied as well and it still took a long time to get our drink. We heard other customers talking about how bad the service was. I think they were really overwhelmed but the servers were still nice and kind. It’s not their fault they didn’t have enough staff on hand. Let’s talk about the food when it finally came out. We ordered the Mediterranean platter and the Smoked Duck Tartine. I don’t have much to write about the Mediterranean plate since it was just hummus with chips basically. Pita bread would’ve been a better compliment. The Duck Tartine was good, but the ricotta overpowered the duck. The duck was great without the ricotta! They ended up comping our food since it took forever which was the right thing to do. Hopefully the management will get more people to staff the bar when they have events on site. The atmosphere here is amazing feels like an old rustic vibe. I’ll be back to give them another shot!

We visited the Centennial Tea to celebrate a family member visiting, and while we’d been to the secret bar, regular bar, and restaurant at this historic hotel, this was our first time for tea. The real highlight here is definitely the ambiance—the hotel’s century-old charm creates a chic, nostalgic setting that’s wonderful to take in. They’re currently celebrating 100 years, and there was a special tea blend offered for the occasion. I ordered it but later regretted doing so, as they gifted everyone a box of the blend at the end of the service. The food was decent but not especially memorable. The cucumber sandwich was somewhat unbalanced, with the bread overpowering the filling, and though the desserts were fine, the Madeleine was the standout. The egg sandwich was the best of the savory bites; a few others had flavors that felt a bit muddled. Portions were generous—honestly, one tower would have been plenty for my husband and me to share. For those interested, there’s the option to order mimosas or other alcoholic drinks. One minor drawback is the seating. Tea is served in the bar area, where the vintage armchairs, while charming, aren’t particularly comfortable for eating. Larger groups seem to get tables, but if you’re a couple, you might be seated in the corridor with foot traffic passing by. Service was attentive, perhaps a bit overly. Overall, the Centennial Tea is more about soaking in the historic ambiance and enjoying a bit of an "Instagrammable" experience. It’s worth it for the unique setting, even if the food isn’t the main attraction. Good place for girlfriends and family visiting.

Massive lobby bar. Overwhelming selection of liquors to choose from. They have a cocktail menu but don't feel limited to it in the least. They didn't even blink when I asked for a Sazerac (nor did I expect them to). Friendly but not overbearing staff. It's a noisy lobby with a lot of people coming and going in general, along with the folks sitting around the oval bar. Seems popular with the local business crowd, and rightly so. Great ambiance and expertly crafted cocktails. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for all of this!

Average bar in an above average setting at the Fairmont. Their beer options were nice to see, but I would have expected more interesting cocktail and whiskey selections. Didn't try any food, and service was solid at the bar itself.

This was my first time ever here at The George and it was amazing!! My mom and I had looked up the executive chef, Guillermo Carreno, and saw he was from Mexico so we came to support!! We were met with the most amazing waiter and hospitality. Janice was the kindest waiter I think I’ve ever had. She was so respectful and helpful, she made good conversation and didn’t make us feel rushed or uncomfortable. She was so kind to even get the executive chef, to come and talk with us and we again were met with the most polite service. Guillermo was so also so kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. He made sure the food was amazing and up to standard and he made amazing conversation. I would come back to The George just for the service and the people. Genuinely then best dining and evening experience my family and I had. Janice and Guillermo, thank you!! And we can’t wait to come back <3 !!

We stayed at the Fairmont and ate here for dinner and breakfast. Both times we had the same waiter, Jorge, and he gave us exceptional service and lots of smiles. We really appreciated the way he took care of us and made us feel at home. The food was so delicious.

Very stylish "old school" bar with cosy sitting, very friendly and efficient service. Had an excellent Smashburger with fries. Recommended

I've always wanted to go here since I was a little girl to go inside this hotel and I finally did tonight but it's a very beautiful historic place and it's gorgeous I love the fact that they care about the traditions and the history but they should be ashamed that they have such a limited bar and food menu at such an expensive place. They're barely able to make basic things for you and they don't even bother to come around to ask you if you are doing okay they walk all around right past you they don't check to see if you want more food if you want another drink if you need more napkins if you need anything if your order is right if they can get you another drink if they can get you the bills they just walk around around in that Circle completely ignoring you you have to chase them down wave frantically to order more things they don't bother to take your order you have to flag them down they basically ignore you even when you're sitting right at the bar it was so hard to get their attention right there at the bar with a seat and there were three bartenders back there I feel like maybe they should have 10 bartenders there so that they're not ignoring people I feel like they could have made so much more money if they had just came back around it didn't seem like they wanted the money it didn't seem like they cared about making a sale it didn't seem like they cared about making a sale Spirit also I found out that they don't allow doordash orders if you're staying at the hotel they only let you order from the restaurant but the restaurant only has like five things you can order. It's very restrictive. I asked for the house fries and they gave me the Truffle ones I went on and ate it but my tab came to $40 and I'm still not sure why. I think what they should do is just Revitalize this to where there's multiple actual bars I saw people sitting on those plus chair things trying to eat not just didn't make sense sitting on those couches trying to eat food and balance drinks. I think maybe they need to come into the 21st century or whichever Century we're in now... they're not in it. Tater tots and caviar how does that sound like something that you want to eat when you're coming from an event late at night or anytime for that matter. I don't even think people that were sentenced to hell without a choice of cuisinewould eat that. If Cheesecake Factory rip can have a menu with 200 items then this place that's supposed to be renowned can have a real menu and real food cooked to order from scratch and a real drink menu. I'm greatly disappointed in them. I ordered two drinks and on the second drink that I made it completely different than the first one. And then it was very confusing that they had people walking up ordering stuff instead of just having waitresses going around taking orders they have people coming up to stand behind you at the bar to order stuff I guess and it was weird that they had underage kids coming to ask for cans of soda I guess because there wasn't anywhere else in the bar that they could get drinks for people who are under 21 it was weird what is a great place to come and socialize if you don't care about being hungry and maybe not getting served. They also have those ridiculous papers drawers that break down in your drink and crumple up. That's foolish to have those kind of straws at a real establishment like this. And the bartender seemed offended that I asked for a real straw. Like it was a personal insult to his life. It cost more money for those stupid straws because you have to use more than one when they break down on you and crumple and bend in the middle of you drinking. And those are the same cheap paper straws that the little dive bars use if that's the case I could just go there. Also the Truffle fries are not even hand-cut fries it's those little shoestring scrap fries and those are hard to eat and pick up they don't give you any silverware or a plate and napkins you have to hunt the bartender down for that as well

Super cozy, romantic and different approach. They have tables around the lobby, and they are all different. You can also seat at the bar and enjoy great drinks and have some food. Their season raviolis are 5/5! If you are visiting in this winter season is a must try! They are handmade, vegetarian and so so Goooooood. The staff was super cordial and friendly, Is a very relaxing atmosphere. My favourite dessert was the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream
