As a woman who has no idea what transmission mounts and coil springs are, going to an auto repair shop has always been a little daunting. I worry that my ignorance is going to cost me big. Thankfully, John at Oak Lawn Auto is an honest gem. He was straightforward, clear, and treated me like he would his own family member. Mercedes quoted me 3x the amount he charged, and he did all the necessary repairs in less than 2 days.  From now on, I'm not even taking the car to the dealer. This is the place to go. He's got an excellent, professional team (George the manager is great too!). You will be in excellent hands.

Came in because my A/C hasn’t been working for quite some time. John got it recharged and gave great customer service. I’ll definitely be back with any other issues I have. Great prices as well.

Broke down on the road and had my car towed to Oak Lawn Auto in the late afternoon. They had it running early afternoon the following day. Reasonably priced and the guys there are great! We'll be bringing our cars there for servicing from now on! Highly recommended!

The best shop to take your car without a doubt! Absolutely satisfied with every repair I have had with my car. When you walk into the shop I am always greeted with a smile from George. The owner John and George kept me in the loop throughout the whole process while my car was there. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest shop.

These guys are my new go-to for all auto repairs. They were easy to get in contact with, the pricing was fair and best of all, they had my car in and out of the shop within the same day and I had quite a few things that needed to be fixed, so overall, I am definitely impressed and also satisfied. I'd recommend them to anyone in the Southern suburbs.

George was my mechanic, and he was nothing but amazing! I called in days before requesting a quote of a coolant flush, and he gave me way better prices than the dealer costs. When I brought it in, it did not take them long at all to work on it and also replaced bolts for me free of charge. He let me know everything I needed done with my car, and gave some amazing recommendations for things to do in Toronto as we were traveling there the following weekend.

This is the best auto shop I’ve ever been to and it will be the only auto shop that I trust from now on. I am a 20 year old girl who doesn’t know anything about cars and George has taught me more about cars in the past few days than I have in 4 years is driving. He’s professional, straightforward and 110% honest about your vehicle. He doesn’t try to scam you and drain you of money like other big name locations, and is a great human being overall. I highly recommend them for any type of service or just general questions.

I was really hoping this place would be my go to mechanic since I am new to the area. There’s many great perks such as allowing walk ins and fast friendly service. That is all very convenient. However my disappointment came from their failure to properly diagnose our car and lack of assessment of the actual vehicle. I brought my vehicle twice with a check engine light, and I followed their recommendations each time. Unfortunately the check engine light always kept coming back on. They told me they would just have to move down the list of check engine codes to find out the root of the cause. I thought this was strange as I never walked out with a clear answer of what was actually wrong with my car. They just kept wanting to change parts. Their recommendations weren’t cheap either. I decided to get a second opinion and the root of the cause was an oil leak that was damaging surrounding sensors. This is why my check engine light never turned off. This tells me that they never looked the the actual car to diagnose the problem, just the codes. This also tells me that if they did look at the actual car, they never wanted to fix the root of the issue so that I would keep coming back to spend my money with no end in sight. Unfortunately I can’t get that money back, but I’m writing this long review in hopes they can learn from this experience in the future.
