THIS PLACE IS GREAT !...Family owned Business, Father and Son, They fix what is broken and are honest about it. They will have your car in and out in a day, obviously not for major engine work. Have been to many mechanic repair shops over the last 35 years, Oak Lawn Auto is the only place I have never had to question a repair, a problem with the service or the fee charged for said service. This place is the Best and within 5 minutes George and John make you feel like Family, you almost want your car to break down often, just to see them....
I would highly recommend Oak Lawn Auto. They're very professional, hard working, honest, and reasonable. George is AMAZING!! He takes the time to explain and answer the questions you may have. All of my experiences at Oak Lawn Auto have been very positive. I appreciate all the hard work they've put into fixing my car.
A few weeks ago my son's car broke down, and knowing that John and George would take good care of us, and fixed the car, we didn't think twice and had the car towed to Oak Lawn Auto. John was able to fixed the starter and ignition problem (a bad wire) of the car and pinpoint a problem with the axles, he replaced the axles and only charged us for the axles and labor accompany with the repair. They have earned our trust! Let me emphasize on their honesty!
I'm very appreciative of George at the desk and mechanic John. They took care of me twice spur of the moment. Took a bolt out if my tire, plugged it, filled with air. They didn't charge me. I also go there for my oil changes. Will definitely recommend for work. Ty you guys so much. Means alot to a single mom of 1.
I went to this auto shop because of all the good reviews I read online, and I am so happy I did. These guys are the nicest, I called to tell them I was going to drop off my car after hours (by 10 minutes), they told me about their key drop off box but then they waited for me. They are honest mechanics, who didn't try to up sale me. I will definitely go back to them for all my other issues.
I discovered this shop through a coupon in valpak and they have quickly become my favorite mechanics. The staff is friendly, the work is professional, and they have consistently saved me money. They found me factory grade parts for hundreds of dollars less than I was quoted at from another mechanic. They were very transparent with how much the part cost and how much the labor would be. They really took care of my car, giving it an inspection and fixing a pesky check engine light and rotating the tires for free. I highly recommend coming to them for things big and small .
The mechanics here are top notch and trustworthy. My Honda had the timing belt replaced at another shop, where they used after market parts and "glued" some of the parts. John took care of me and replaced these with authentic OEM parts and my Honda runs the best it has since I've owned it. I recommend these mechanics over anyone. Thank you guys!
Beware! These guys are frauds. My car was running fine and I went for new brakes and after that I was back 4 more times with different problems with my car. My indicator lights would go on a few days to a week after having my car at this place. I threw thousands into my car after seeing these guys and my car isn't that old! This has happened to my family as well! I should have known better after all of the problems. Go somewhere else. I hope you see this and stop ripping off innocent people.
