Very busy, tight space but food was delicious.
my number one place in the city. you genuinely cannot order a bad thing here. it has easily become my go to weekend spot, the first place I bring out-of-towners, and my favorite pick me up after a bad day. they do tend to have a long line/wait time on the weekends but it's worth it every time.

Great place, great bread, amazing donuts, excellent service. Order the prosciutto, mozzarella, pesto sandwich.
Great bread, great hot food, other bakery goods are OK. Unfortunately the service is getting consistently worse. On regular orders of ready made items it often takes over 20 minutes to get your order while half the staff surf on their phones. Plus they've gotten at least 1 item wrong in an order of 3 or 4 things total each of the last 2 times I was there. On advanced holiday orders they now make you wait in the regular line, which can easily add 20 to 30 minutes to pickup a bag that's just sitting there behind the counter. In prior years they always had a separate line, sometimes they even used the adjacent garage which was super convenient.
I do miss the small community feel the place had before/during Covid, but this place for sure deserves the all the success it has today. I miss the sourdough donuts though
The bread here is exceptional—some of the best in the city. Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. The service is consistently apathetic; it often feels like the staff would rather be anywhere else. You're rarely acknowledged, let alone greeted. And the wait? Up to 30 minutes for a basic breakfast sandwich, which is absurd unless they’re harvesting the wheat out back.
This bread is absolutely exceptional while still being very reasonably priced. I will be coming back regularly for bread here
Great bakery and cafe that’s tucked away on one of the coolest streets in South Philly. Also serves alcohol. Family friendly.
