It's an experience for dinner. They make sure you feel celebrated and cared for, they write personal cards, take your photo, and take special requests. We came for our anniversary and had a great romantic time together

Double Date for an early Valentine’s Day. Destiny was our server and was fantastic. Attentive, informative, & pleasant. Answered every question. Accommodated having two couples who wanted different choices although we split a single burner. Excellent house recommendations. Delicious food. Recommend the salmon and chicken!!! Both couples ordered the bigger platter for two and left stuffed.

My boyfriend and I went here for our four year anniversary and had a wonderful experience! We decided on the lovers lane special which was wonderful for everything that it comes with. You get two keepsake champagne glasses along with champagne of your choice of sweet of dry, a card greeting you to the table, your picture taken, your choice of milk, dark or white chocolates to take home, private seating and a four course meal! Our waitress, Krystal, made our anniversary so special! Thank you!

The dinner was excellent. Took us a while to eat it, but it slowed the pace. Only bummer was we could not take the leftover juice from the entre with us.

We had a great experience but service was a bit slow. Just felt like we were always waiting a long time for the next course or to be asked if we wanted to move on and were there to almost three hours and none of us were drinking alcohol so felt like too long.

We came for a 70th birthday and is was perfect! Our server was lovely! I highly recommend this place! The fondue was tasty and a fun activity as well as a meal. The kids loved cooking the food.

A unique service and presentation. The service person Jerry was great. The menu confusing to navigate without his help. Sticker shock sets in quick and raises the expectation exponentially. Quality of the food served was above par. Very flavorful cheese, with white wine and sun dried tomatoes. However, far too much plain white bread ratio to fresh vegetables for the fondue dipping. The small California salad for $12 was lacking in size but flavor was great with raspberry vinegrette and gorgonzola cheese. Main course for $38 was a thin platter of about 6-8 oz of various cuts of tender pre-seasond meat you cook yourself in a pot of almost boiling flavored broth in the center of your table. Maybe the purpose of this method is to encourage socializing, but it was chaotic with each of us trying to get our cooking time down, often over cooking, and when finished we were honestly left feeling shorted, in that the quality, presentation, and experience could not overcome the lack of value for money in terms of quantity. No left-overs for next day. And for desert, eventhough the chocolate was amazing and the flame exciting, the assortment of dip-ables was sweet on top of sweet overkill with cake, Krispy treats, canned pineapple and marshmallows. We will chock it up to an experience had, but in terms of getting a good meal because we are hungry, we will go to a great steak house where they cook it for us, and still pay far, far less.

Came here 09/24/20 for my and my boyfriend anniversary! Was very romantic. We told them ahead of time when placing the reservation that it was our anniversary and we received the lover's package which included a 4 course meal, 6 roses on the table and a bottle of champagne and a picture of us in a cute frame. The experience was amazing and we are so glad we decided to celebrate at the melting pot!

My wife and I recently dined at The Melting Pot, an enchanting and somewhat concealed restaurant located underground. We opted for the "4 Course Forever Fondue" package, and our experience was nothing short of remarkable. Cheese Fondue We began our meal with the Classic Alpine Cheese Fondue. This delightful concoction featured a blend of Gruyère, Raclette, and Fontina cheeses, combined with white wine, garlic, and nutmeg. The rich, savory flavors were perfectly complemented by an assortment of artisan breads, along with seasonal fruits and vegetables, providing a balanced and delicious start to our evening. Salad Course Both my wife and I selected the Caesar Salad, a classic choice executed to perfection. The salad was composed of fresh Romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons, all elegantly tossed in Caesar dressing. The inclusion of Parmesan-dusted pine nuts added a delightful textural contrast and a subtle nutty flavor, elevating the dish. Entrée For the main course, my wife chose the Classic entrée, which included a diverse selection of proteins: shrimp, Memphis-style dry rub pork, teriyaki-marinated steak, garlic pepper steak, and herb-crusted chicken breast. I opted for the Steak Lovers entrée, featuring brown sugar bourbon rub steak, teriyaki-marinated steak, and garlic pepper steak. We cooked our selections in the Coq au Vin broth, a rich and aromatic base made from Burgundy wine, mushrooms, scallions, and garlic. The broth enhanced the natural flavors of the meats, making each bite a delightful experience. The Melting Pot also offers a special QR code to help diners time how long each type of meat needs to be cooked. This thoughtful addition ensures that every piece is cooked to perfection, enhancing the overall dining experience. Dessert To conclude our meal, we indulged in the Ying and Yang dessert fondue. This artistic blend of dark and white chocolate fondue was both visually appealing and decadent. It was served with an assortment of sweet treats and fresh fruits, perfect for dipping. The combination of buttery dark chocolate and smooth white chocolate was a fitting end to our exquisite meal. Ambiance and Service The ambiance of The Melting Pot is cozy and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and prompt, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. Practical Information As for parking, being in Portland, you will need to find a spot on the side streets or use nearby parking garages. Despite this minor inconvenience, the exceptional dining experience at The Melting Pot makes it well worth the effort.
