Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center

Go! Tell all your friends who don’t have their own care providers or dentists. Great for those who need a sliding scale. They will take your insurance cards as well. Where would we be in Nashville without Matthew Walker? That’s my take on it. The founder, Matthew Walker was a saint in my book. A perfect place for those in great need.

I arrived early, filled out my paperwork, and was told to make my way to suite 1300. Once there, no one was at the receptionist station and we sat there for almost an hour when our appointment was supposed to be at 9 a.m. when someone finally did come out to get me I told her I really needed to use the restroom because I was holding it in case they needed a sample from me. She was very rude and reluctant but let me go to the bathroom with a sample cup. Once I finished she placed me back in the waiting room and then ten minutes later had me come up to the glass all to tell me I wasn’t even seeing a doctor that day and that I was only supposed to have labs done which was incorrect. I already had my labs done with another doctor and was waiting to receive that info from that hospital. When I made my appointment I was told I would in fact be seeing doctor Vernita and now this person is telling me I need to make a different appointment and I just wasted my entire morning coming down there. I will not be returning to this office.

Excellent place go for medical and dental appointments. The staff and the doctors are very polite and friendly and helpful. They care about your medical needs and your dental née needs! I would recommend this facility to all my family and friends.

I love the company and the workers( well some). I had some dental work done about an week ago and the experience and the dentist who preformed it (Dr. Currie) was the best. I've been trying to call the dentist for almost a week now and haven't gotten a call back. The lady that answers the phone in the dentist department is very rude and nonchalant to patient needs. She needs to be took off phone duties with that type of attitude. She is not showing no remorse to the patients and their needs. I highly doubt that she is even giving the Dr. my messages. I am very unpleased with the phone service and how she acts.

This office will not answer the office phone during open business hours! Very unprofessional! I'm very close to doing Business elsewhere!

Will I went for blood work & they charged me $205 for a psychiatric evaluation that I didn't need because I have my on psychiatric Doctor. Then the medical doctor did not call in my prescriptions. And still has not. Dr Jr. I also called them to send my lab results and they have not done that either & it's been a month. If I had insurance I wouldn't go back there!!! My appointment was for 8:30 & I wasn't seen till 10:00 pretty sad!!!

I had a fine experience at the Nashville location. It did take about 4 hours, but I don't really see how that was their fault or due to any negligence on their part. I'm unreasonably terrified of going to the dentist. I did NOT have an appointment. I called and spoke to someone easily on the phone. They clearly explained that the next available appointment slot was in a few weeks but that walk-ins are welcome all day. I walked in and was helped about as quickly as could be expected with two people in line in front of me. I had to fill out the standard forms, I then was sent upstairs to the dental waiting area. I had to wait an overly long time because my insurance had me listed incorrectly and they had to get on the phone and confirm some things. But that's the staff at Matthew Walker helping me out when the insurance company was delaying things. Thanks staff! My actual exam was done by someone who was nice and courteous and helpful. She answered all 50 of my questions without batting an eyelash. She explained exactly what was wrong, all my options, and what the next step should be. I was initially super nervous but she put me at ease. The pharmacy only took about 5 minutes after. All in all, it was long, but at least half of that time was 1) filling out the forms (that's only if it's your first time visiting, so that won't happen again next time) 2) my insurance had me listed incorrectly on our plan so it was saying I wasn't covered and two different receptionists were on the phone for about an hour handling that for me. I know doctors and dentists attract a lot of negative reviews, but I had a genuinely good experience. Everyone was nice and helpful.

This is probably the most honest dentist in the state and possibly the USA. They never try to upsell you and they are so nice and caring too. This is my 4th time coming here. And every time I come here it's so nice and honest. The waiting time is long, but we'll well worth it. Make an appointment for sure. And you will probably still need to wait. They are nice and clean and modern inside too. They are part of the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, so they also have nice doctors devisions too. They help those who don't have a lot of insurance and have different plans to help you pay. The US needs more places like this

I’ve been coming to Matthew Walker for the past couple of years, and I’ve become increasingly frustrated with their service. The billing is consistently incorrect; I get charged when I show up, and there are ALWAYS bills on the back end, and even when I pay, I keep receiving notices for charges I’ve already settled. It’s incredibly messy and disorganized, and their billing process is far from transparent. When issues arise, it’s nearly impossible to get help. I’ve spent hours on the phone waiting for someone to follow up, and often nobody ever does. I’ve ended up paying extra money without even understanding why. The dentists themselves are okay, but the experience is consistently disappointing. I always arrive 10 minutes early as requested, yet I’ve never been seen on time. I regularly end up waiting an hour to an hour and a half past my appointment time. Overall, the disorganization, poor communication, and lack of transparency have made this a frustrating experience. I will not be returning.

Dr Dennis and his staff are top notch. The problem is when you are not there you do not exist. Their systems simply do not work. The online portal is useful for paying your bill, msgs don't get thru and calling is useless because they have these people working hard no one has time for it. A suggestion is to either hire more staff to man these calls and portal questions or make time during the paid day for the doctors to do it. You have these appts stacked so deep it is a wonder how you get the good work you do done as much as you do. Staff are great, admins need to get off some cash for some staff. Doesn't take much training to run messages to doctors once a day. Hire me I'll do it. Lbvs
