We did the Georgetown Foodie tour. I really liked the smaller group size. It was very informative and Shannon, the tour guide, kept us engaged. It was the perfect balance of learning, walking, socializing, and eating. The food choices were so yummy! We’re local (from MD) and still learned so much. Highly recommended!
Our guide was Shannon, and she was absolutely amazing. Although my boyfriend wasn't feeling great our tour guide Shannon still was very positive and made sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had. I know it was probably strange for her because we were the only two people on the tour but she still gave us a wonderful experience. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the history of the cafés was so charming! This was such a unique, fun and interesting experience and a must do if you're visiting Georgetown! Definitely my favorite thing I've done in Washington.
We have taken walking food tours in a number of places, Boston, San Francisco, Miami, Charleston, to name a few. We have always really enjoyed them and today was no different! Dave was a great guide! He was enthusiastic and engaging. We stopped at 5 local places where we sampled their food. The samples were “ample”! We were so full at the end that we opted to not go out for dinner. He told us a lot of interesting bits of info that you won’t hear on a regular tour. We had a very nice walk around Georgetown. And Dave offered suggestions for other things to do or to eat. The weather was sweltering and Dave took care of us! He made sure that we stayed hydrated, had a bottle of water that we could mist ourselves with if we wanted. If you are considering the tour, take it! It was fun and well done!
What a great time & great food! We had the pleasure of having Ben as our guide today. He was very knowledgeable, engaging & witty which made for a great experience. The selection of food was amazing, but bring your appetite. You don’t want to miss this tour
We booked the Georgetown Foodie Tour and it was such a great experience!!! I looked into a lot of food tours before deciding to book this one. I must say the positive reviews did not point us wrong. Lydia was a great guide! She was so funny and accommodating! She went above and beyond, bringing ponchos and hand warmers on a cold, rainy day. Someone in the group had a birthday and Lydia even put together a cake for them at the last stop! Sure the weather could’ve been better, but with Lydia it didn’t matter! She had lots of interesting info to share. We loved the diverse selection of restaurants (something for everyone but nothing too scary!) and touring streets off the main drag. I highly recommend this tour and I am sure any of the other tours they do are just as good! You learn so much about the history of the neighborhood and the restaurants themselves! I can’t picture coming to DC and not doing something like this. A pro tip we learned for the Georgetown tour was to park at the 4 Seasons Hotel using the app Spot Hero. Saved us BIG bucks!
Had such a great time with Christine! She gave us a great tour of Georgetown and we stopped at 4 different establishments. The food was amazing and plentiful, I even had leftovers in a box! I liked that we got to rest at each location and take our time eating. I've been on many food tours and this one was one of the best.
Our guide, Dietrich was very knowledgeable and friendly, sharing interesting history along the way to our 4 food stops. The tour was a great balance of walking, eating and learning! Portions were generous, so come hungry!
Thanks Elizabeth and Ben for being our awesome guide! Learned a lot new stuff about Georgetown that I’ve never thought before
Elizabeth did a great job keeping our group engaged by sharing interesting facts about the area and restaurants we visited. Thanks for a great tour, would explore others trips with Mangia.
Jacob did a great job with our family sharing many Georgetown stories about the history, architecture, and people of the area. We stopped by 4 varied and great places for food. Great day!
