Ben was AMAZING, he was super friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of Georgetown, he made the walk very fun and i couldn’t have had a better time, the food was also very diverse and delicious, i would happily embark on another tour, 10/10
Went for my birthday with my daughter and had a great time. Tried out different delicious cuisines and met great people in the group. Ben our tour guide was really nice and friendly.
We had a great time with Jacob as our tour guide. He gave us a great walking tour & showed us some historic homes, and pointed out interesting architecture. Oh, we also had some great food along the way. The tour was well worth the price.
Really loved the different styles of food and the history and stories of the Georgetown community. Shannon was amazing! We had a great time seeing the different architectural styles, the history of the community and, of course, the variety of foods! Loved doing something different from the traditional museums and other tourist attractions. Very well done!
I highly recommend this tour to foodies as well as history buffs. We stopped at 4 different restaurants for tastings, and all were delicious with generous portions--- we left quite full! Georgetown has such fascinating history, and our guide took us to some interesting houses and sites. This tour is a great way to not only see the sites, but to taste great food in the area!
The Georgetown Food Walking Tour was amazing! Elizabeth was a great guide! We learned so much and the food was wonderful! Definitely a must do if you’re a Foodie and love history!
We just spent 3 wonderful hours walking around Georgetown and eating beyond capacity at 4 different culinary “finds” in Georgetown. The pace was moderate and by the time our hands got cold, it was time to duck into another restaurant. Dave took great care of us, supplying us with water bottles and hand warmers! He enthusiastically recounted (“show and tell” style) the Georgetown history of significant homes we passed by. He also knew well the stand-out character and history of each restaurant we visited. Time flies in his gregarious presence. Would highly recommend the tour and Dave’s leadership. Am eager to go back to several of the places we visited. This tour was part of my Christmas gift for my husband—he loved it!
We had a fun experience of the Georgetown Food Tour with Shannon. There is a lot of history along the tour in addition to the food. We are locals, but still learned some new facts about the neighborhood. The food is pretty filling, so come hungry! If you have any ability to control it, try to plan the tour on a day when the weather is nice because you're outside for a lot of it.
I did the Georgetown foodtour yesterday (22 April). It was an excellent finish to my 2 week USA vacation. The food and the tour were great!! Lots of fun little tidbits about houses and the restaurants. Our tour guide McKendry did great, she had good energy, despite the rain (and it was bad for a while!!) So 5 out of 5 for me!
We did the Georgetown Foodie and Neighborhood Walk with Brian. It was a beautiful October day for this amazing tour! Brian was personable, friendly and knowledgeable of the neighborhood and restaurants we visited. If you have special requests (vegetarian, no gluten, etc) let them know when you make your reservation or at the beginning of the tour; they will accommodate you! I highly recommend this tour. Brian did a great job but was only tipped my me and my husband; if your guide did a good job throw them some $$.
